INSIDE THE ROCKETS Inside the Rockets is back! Each week in this show, we will talk and analyse the Rockets. I hope that I get a better responses this time. After each show, your comments and suggestions are welcome. So lets get start. Tuesday, the Rockets debuted vs Grizzlies. First let s take a look at the highlights of the game: According to me, we were pretty much horrible in that game. I excepted a better win vs Grizzlies. We were at home and we only won by 11 points vs one of the worst teams in the NBA. The defense was good, but the offense was horrible. We didnt have lot of teamworks. Most of our points were one on one points. Also, we jacked horrible shots. Our shooting was horrible with 36%, but free throws were good with 84%. Overall, ugly win. Thursday we played at Dallas. Let s take a look at the highlights: What a fun game that was! It was so entertaining to watch and I really enjoyed watching it. Artest and Yao were the guys! Yao was unstoppable. The Dallas centers couldnt do anything to stop him. Yao just hit in their face. He had a perfect game. He is without a doubt the best center in the NBA. There s no question about. Artest was great too. He was very clutch, give everything defensively. He is going to be very big for us this season. Brooks is really improving and that s really great .T-Mac still doesnt look 100%, but it s okay. Defensively, we werent that good. Hayes and Artest were good but the rest not really. It s okay, when we ll have Battier back, we are going to be back in the top list of the best NBA defensive team. In that game, we didnt even were 65% of the team that we could be and that s a reason why teams should be scared of us. We didnt have healthy T-Mac, no Batier, still not the excellent chemistry that we can have and offense that we can have. THE SEASON LOOKS BRIGHT FOR US!!! Next week, Saturday, we will have the THunders at home and that should be an easy win. Then tuesday, we have Celtics at home again. That one is going to be a big test for us. I just hope that Battier comeback for that game, so that we have the great defense we want. If Artest does a great job on Pierce, then, the game is going to be easier for us because Allen is going back to the form that he had in the first three rounds of the playoffs. He didnt shot well in the first two games. Garnett is going to be a problem. We should use Yao a lot. Perkins cant guard. If Artest slow down Pierce and our offense goes well as vs Dallas, we should get away with a win. Thursday, we are vs Trailblazers and we should get a win. THey dont have any good center so Yao should eat them alive. Some advices for the team. 1. Dont play Yao that much. See what happened last year! We dont want that again. Reduce his minutes. 2. T-Mac should continue to drive because he is hitting his free throws. 3. Alston pratice your shoots. QUESTIONS and ANSWERS: 1. SHould Brooks start over Alston? No. Alston is a very good defensive player and he can do a good job on most of the pg. He can stay with them for a long time. Brooks on the other hand, he is not a good defensive player. Players will post him and shoot on his face due to his size. He wont be able to stay on them for long. He is good as a backup and should stay. 2. Who should start, Artest, Battier or Scola? I will depend on the teams that we are going to play. If we play a small teams, then Scola should be benched. Battier and Artest are very good defenders and they can stop a small guys. Vs good and big teams, I think that we should start Battier and Scola. Artest could be like other GInobli. COming off the bench and bring us a good offense. THat s all for today. See you next week. Hope that you liked it.
I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve with this thread. The scope seems a bit too wide-open. You should probably pick a specific issue about how the team played in the preceding week and focus on that. I think you'll get better responses that way. Just my advice. Anyways, good luck with it.
You must be joking.. at least stay up to date and know what you're talking about if you're going to start a thread of this scope. Battier can barely run, much less play..
and he is back this "show" was almost as good as the "season" that was sim'ed on 2k7 that was in the hangout over the summer. (where the rockets somehow had beasley and josh smith)
I said it before in some other threads: If Yao gets 40min in a close game, so be it. As long as he isn't out there during garbage time. Yes, please take it to the rim T-Mac. I want him shooting 80% from the line this season. Rafer is night and day. At least he isn't attempting 10-13 shots. 1. Rafer should start. Aaron Brooks is a scorer who needs some shots. They won't be coming with Yao, T-Mac, and Artest all out there. He can bring that energy and change of pace off the bench where it would have the best effect. 2. Start Scola the entire way. If we go small ball then Yao is the one to get the most rest. Artest starting isn't of concern to me because he will be finishing.
Seems like people still not liking it. Next week, I will try to make it better so that you guys like it.
