Yao played too many minutes. It'll take toll if RA keeps doing that. Why we are not signing Deke ?

Yay my team! :) I'm knocking on proverbial wood that we don't jinx him with this thread.

That's not why. He will sign for the vets minimum and the Rockets have said if they think they need him and after they get below the luxury tax line with some other cost saving trades, they'll re-sign him.

not to be a debbie downer but they also have mo pete ranked 7th. so i wouldn't put too much stock in their rankings. however, thats not to say that yao isn't playing really well right now.

Agree entirely. Even if we don't sign Deke, Adelman MUST find a creative way to put less strain on the big fella's feet. Or we're going to miss another big chunk of games from him, and he'll be banged up come playoff time, if he's even available.

Seriously, harsh as it sounds, get him around 30 minutes/game.

Great job Yao! but we should try to limit his minutes to about 32/game to keep him fresh for the end of the season. Hopefully they reduced his load in practice too, which should also help (they were talking abou this in the preseason). I think Yao has all the skills he'll need as an NBA player RIGHT NOW. Now it's time to let him get a little rest in between starts.

Regarding Yao's minutes if folks think they are going to be reduced in playing time you'll probably be disappointed. I'm pretty sure when Adelman was asked about that before the season started he said something to the affect that Yao's minutes in a game was not the issue. Instead what they would reduce was all the other minutes he spends extra outside of the game exercising to keep him fresh.

At least I don't look so stupid for the next 2 days by drafting him at #6. (Last year I took him at #3 :D)

As a matter of fact, you DID look kind of not very smart by drafting him at #6. You should at least do like you did last year. :D
