With hi-quality video streaming on the internet now, there is absolutely no reason not to catch up. That is how I am catching back up with Pushing Daisies, and I am giggling my buttock off the entire time. "Now you get your ass up, and get it in the bathroom, and cry like a man!'
I think it's worthwhile to catch up, seems like the writers are trying to tighten up a lot of story telling points this season. Really enjoyed last nites episode but am let down kristin bell will be gone
Well, finally watched the ep on Mojo last night...Has definitly gotten better...Hiro's roll is still a hole for me...So, Peter has no ability, Sylar let him live, speedy lied to Matt, Matt is getting good at mind altering stuff..Claire is still hot so that's all that matters to me...
I am waiting on somethings to come out about this . . reading the Graphic novels fills in some wholes but creates others. Rocket River
I don't think it is a secret I think Speedy was fully transparent in her intentions to Matt, I think Daphne is against Pinehurst now, she's just making it look like she is still with them so she doesn't get killed.
Actually, I think Matt is such a lovestruck dope that he hasn't even attempted to read her mind without her knowing. He trusts her, and on top of that, I think history has shown that Matt thinks going into peoples' minds uninvited violates his morals. I liked it when he went all badass on Knox though, hated that it was for show. I think he should've just effed him up like he said he would. Telepathy powers are super awesome and far more powerful in comics than telekinetics, yet thats the power that gets all the play on this show.
I liked last nights episode, it helped understand alot of what was going on and how things got the way they are. I'm really looking forward to the next eclipse, I wonder if anyone who has lost a power will get it back? Could make for a interesting twist. Spoiler I wonder why the african spirit walker was decapitated like he was, why not just kill him?
Decent episode last night, but smacked of a LOST copycat. I think we got a major hint whom the mother of future Sylar's kid might be. Though I still think she's short for this world after running into the Pinehurst lab. Really unfortunate that they killed Malcolm McDowell in S1. I think they've been kicking themselves for that ever since. Nice to see them creatively bring him back this season. Fair thee well, African Spirit Walker....we hardly knew ye. Have to assume he was resigned to his fate. Even Precogs walk in the footsteps of destiny. Evan
Spoiler I wondered the same thing. Maybe the SYLARism in him Watching this show it brought me to this point What is Arthur Petrelli's powers? Spoiler In this episode he seems to be a strong telepath. In previous shows he was a power syphon. In the graphic novel he had no powers. If he is a power syphon then he must have gotten the telepathy from someone else .. that someone would either 1. not yet been revealed or 2. maybe Parkman Sr. if so . . Parkman Sr still has his power so maybe Arthur is not as big a syphon as we thought. One more thing Adam's power was to heal . .. if arthur took his powers i thought he should have just not healed anymore. . he should not have crumbled.. . because he was what he was. . he should have started aging as normal . . from then on . . not rapid age [though it was a kewl effect] Rocket River
I liked it but at the same time it just feels like so much of what was revealed last night was decided on this season so that things are being changed retroactively. It's like you know HRG was bad, but had good in him. Now you have to wonder since it seems he had no problem with letting Sylar kill innocent powered people. That's just pretty damn sick. Also, Sylar having good in him is just too tough to swallow. He was the freaking boogey man in that first season and now I'm supposed to believe he couldn't help himself? Think of all the people he brutally killed that first season like Molly's parents, Mohinder's father, the other cheerleader, and the cute waitress (even though she had a blood clot in her brain). I think because he's become one of the biggest stars on the show that they are trying to find ways to keep him around as much as possible. I hope they drop the "addiction" angle because he's killed like 30 people so far, most of them innocent. I liked it better when it was more of a serial killer type deal, including the possibility of him eating people's brains because even though he was disgusted by the idea this season when he took Clair's power, it doesn't explain why his first victims' brains were missing.
Was looking this thread.. LOL Ok, after last night, all those hatin' basement-dwelling bong-suckers at places like AICN can officially go take a long walk off a short roof ledge. This episode was excellent, and it was especially nice to see how everything meshed into the previous things we had already seen. And while I hate the nit-pickers because I think they are nothing but kill-joys, I do have a question about one of the things in the episode: Spoiler When Bald Dummy Brother (forgot his name) is revealed to have been captured, and his sister asks him how, he says he was tackled by an invisible man in an alley. Who was the invisible man? If I recall, the invisible man had already (supposedly) been removed from the company and shot and (supposedly) killed by HRG well prior to the time frame shown here. However, we know that he was still running around New York, as he meets up with Peter a little later on. Am I wrong on my time frame here? Or did I just forget something from wayyyy back before the writer's strike? Oh, and.. Spoiler I don't think African Dream-Walker dude is really dead, I think this is still just part of Hiro's dream-walk, and he is interpreting the future somehow.. Papa Petrelli's suddenly showing up out there himself at that exact moment just doesn't ring true like something that could actually happen.. it's more like nightmare stuff, such as what Parkman's dad would do..
when pa petrelli absorbed peters powers....he got teleportation so it makes sense he would be in africa so quickly. now the real question is how does he know that hiro is dreaming about him
Sylar being a boogey man was getting old, he's become too important to the show to be a one trick pony. I like where they are taking the story. What I didn't like was when Hiro got caught by Peter's dad, he could have easily teleported out. Now I'm assuming he's gonna turn bad by teaming up with father Petrelli......
I like the idea that the final scene was still a part of the spirit walk. That would make perfect sense, especially since Dark Lord of the Sith Petrelli visited Angela in her dream. Sylar: even back in S1, it was subtle but apparent that his killings were compulsive, as is usually the case with serial killers. He wasn't out to become powerful as a means to an end. What I DO have an issue with is how they yanked him into a 180 this season. In the span of two episodes, he became a halo-wearing recovering alcoholic talking like a sunshine-infused innocent 11 year old. I don't know if there's pressure on the writers, but it felt to me like they took a 3-season character progression development and compressed it into 3 episodes. Not a good sign for the overall life of the show. Evan
I get what you're saying here...but try to look at it more comic-booky. Nearly every villain in comics has gone through a redemption arc at some point and have been retconned to do so. Even some of the particularly brutal murderers have. Besides that, since they've made the decision to keep Sylar permanent, they can't continue to have him be so one dimensional. Personally, even though it's rushed, I like what they're doing with him this year. He's far and away the most interesting character this season...maybe besides Arthur. This season has been fantastic, IMO. I may be alone, but I like this season far more than the first. Also, is anyone thrilled that Hiro wasn't actually THERE during the spirit walk? He's sucked since season 2.
oops . .i had to reread Sorry I wonder if he got all the powers peter had Rocket River I find it interesting that peter is the only power absorber that can obtain powers in a non aggessive way
