Yeah, and OP, you're underplaying the number of jets that McCain has crashed, FWIW.

It's truly disgusting that the libs would try to smear John McCain's service to our nation.

This is lower than ANYTHING that has been brought up against Baraq Ubama.

He was a crap pilot, who ignored orders to disengage and got shot down. He has shown piss poor judgement throughout his life.

I have respect for the man to an extent, but I don't put him on some pedastal, many POWs endured what he did and didn't crack....

McCain should have never been a POW, proceedure called for him to call off the bombing run, he chose to ignore the warnings and got shot down.....again...poor judgement.

I admire his grit, but let's not sugar coat his record....of underacheivement as a soldier.

I don't understand why people have to belittle serivce to the country. Seriously, WTF? Kerry gets a Silver Star and people make him out to be a traitor, and now McCain. Regardless of party affiliation show a little more respect for people that have done what you don't even have the swingers to attempt.

Had McCain's last name been Smith, he wouldn't have even been flying over Hanoi after crashing as many planes as he did.

Would you vote for an American veteran who disowned his country?

Would you vote for an American veteran who confessed to war crimes?

Would you vote for an American veteran who helped the North Vietnamese set up defensive positions for future air raids and escape routes?

"I am a war criminal, I bombed innocent women and children."

Disgusting yes, hardly trash...unless you just don't like the TRUTH !!!

Actually, it is 100% factual. McCain should have followed procedure broken off his attack and returned safely, but, as he has done his entire life, he used poor judgement and got shot down.

You may not like the truth, but it is what it is.

An accurate article of John McCain's life to date, and how his parents pulled strings for him his entire life.

"It was a dangerous mission — taking the planes into the teeth of North Vietnam's fiercest anti-aircraft defenses. As the planes entered Hanoi airspace, they were instantly enveloped in dark clouds of flak and surface-to-air missiles. Still cocky from the previous day's kills, McCain took the biggest gamble of his life. As he dived in on the target in his A-4, his surface-to-air missile warning system sounded: A SAM had a lock on him. "I knew I should roll out and fly evasive maneuvers," McCain writes. "The A-4 is a small, fast" aircraft that "can outmaneuver a tracking SAM."

    Poor judgement.

Would you trust your country to someone who has never been president?

What? McCain hasn't been president before either?

OH CRAP! WE'RE SCREWED EITHER WAY! NEITHER CANDIDATE HAS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Many would argue that staying on mission and completing his run at risk to his own life is heroic, yet you label it as "poor judgement".

Fortunately, throughout many wars this country has fought, soldiers have used "poor judgement" numerous times and ended up completing missions and saving lives at their own risk.

If he followed procedure he would have evaded the missiles and lived to fight another day.

Instead, he chose to keep up the attack - which, IMO, was very poor judgement, and the man has a history of poor judgement...his entire life.

From cheating on his first wife, to getting shot down, to almost getting kicked out of the Academy, to crashing training planes to...well....just poor..poor poor....

Thank GOD the American people can see him for what he truly is, an aging, grumpy old man, with terrible judgement.

Actually DD, if he continued to attack -- IN OTHER WORDS DISOBEYING AN ORDER -- describing the behavior as poor judgment is being really, really nice. (I prefer mavericky myself.)
