Of course, Yao's play is also the Haier Play of the Day! http://www.nba.com/video/channels/play_of_the_day/2008/10/30/nba_20081029_pod.nba/?player=whatsnew
It wasn't really luck. Luck is when an opponent accidentally tips in a shot for you, or when you're throwing an alley-oop, but it goes straight in the basket for three points. I mean he was close to the basket and knew he just had to get the ball up on the rim for it to have a chance to go in. He did that, and it did. Sure, it was a good bounce, but it was good awareness by Yao, and it was a pretty quick and accurate reaction. It was a good play.
On the top ten video, the commentator says that Yao's basket didn't count. You would think they have people watching these games.
the top ten assumed it count. it was in the recap where the commentator said it didnt count. looks like they corrected otherwise it would be a top 10 shot.
I can't get the videos to play on the nba website? Do I need to update Flash player or something to watch them? I can watch youtube videos no problem so I dunno what the problem is.
works well for me in firefox and google chrome. but back to topic. how fitting that yao was the #1 play of the day. i almost feel out my bed watching that one. and that tmac play was pretty nice. back in the day we would have dunked it though...
They work for me in Firefox and Chrome. Chrome is still beta, so make sure you have the latest beta version.
