Look on the bright side. We always had 4th quarter break down, but this time it was a 4th quarter beat down.

Guys a win is a win. Expecting the rockets to blow this team out right off the gate with our current lineup is just not how we should go into this season mentally as fans.

Our injuries are a hindrance but we have enough help now. Our players have said it that we cannot get ahead of ourselves and start thinking of championship or a high level of play this early with our team not at full strength and not playing enough minutes together. I have faith in our team that we'll eventually get there.

Was just monitoring the game via live update from yahoo, wanted to know if our undersized big men was overwhelmed by the athleticism of the grizz' big men?

    Go rockets!

We also lack size when Yao is out. Can anybody figure out what the RB difference was with Yao out of the game, was the RB differential created when he was out?

new squad, happy with the win, but we're not gonna beat the better teams shooting such a poor fg percentage, solid defense though, not many teams can win games shooting that poorly lol go rockets!

Let's remeber how the Celtics started off yesterday. We were rusty. We'll get better tomorrow. It's not like we lost....

we won't win with a t-mac, yao, artest iso iso iso offense.

all 3 of them need to be a threat on the court.

the celtics use KG in the post, Pierce can create anywhere, and Ray Allen is the best catch and shooter in the league. obviously the celtics big 3 fit better than our big 3, as we have noone who can catch and shoot like ray.

artest and t-mac are both a bit redundant in that they need to iso to get points, but so does yao.

Let's also look at it this way. Boston didn't blow the cavaliers out, won by only 5 points. Utah and Denver are having a damn close game as well. Last year we weren't very effective against the memphis, so there is always matchup problems.

Cavaliers and Nuggets were the teams we blew out last years, yet they seem to cause problems to top teams as well.

Not to mention, Utah is having a hard time against the Nuggets, who have just gotten worse after losing their DPOY, and on homecourt as well.

Not a pretty win but the team will be a work in progress and as long as the W's keep taking place it is all good.

Sh***t, this was ridiculous. The Rockets, touted to be one of the best teams in the league, barely survived a lowly Grizzles team.

I have words for T-Mac and Rafer: you have to work harder in the summer to help the team immediately when the season opens.

T-Mac, you're not a superman. You are just a talented bball player. If you think you can magically work yourself to a terrific form AFTER the season starts, you're so WRONG. YOu need to do your homework in the summer. You need to take preseason games more seriously.

Artest is a great spot up shooter. T-Mac can create for himself. And Yao is one of the best in the post.

6-14 FG is badly inefficient for a 7'6" center with the shots he takes. Thankfully he was making his FTs. Almost half his points came from FTs.

    Positives:
-Great defense! - Holding a team to 70 points is awesome, especially without Battier!
-Fast Start! - came out of the gate fast and strong mostly due to Artest.
-FT% - we shot over 80% which is awesome and will win us many gives if our offense is struggling like it was tonight.
-Low T/O - only 11 turnovers and none from Yao!

    Negatives:
-Adelman - I don't know what he was doing with substitutions and minutes. This is my biggest gripe. Rick you have depth use it! Our starters finally got some rest at the start of the fourth and came back in and finally made a run.
-Offense - Need more concrete squads. When subs went in, offense died. Brooks will help this alot when he returns. He is a major spark off the bench and runs well/
-Rebounding - why was scola benched in the 4th? He was the only one out there rebounding. Again, Im questioning Adelman here.
    -Rafer - what the **** ?

With our defense playing as well as it did, along with low T/O, and high FT %, we have the opportunity to smash other teams if our offense ever gets in sync. First game of the season and most other teams are a bit rusty as well. I still believe!

Guess you just started watching the Rockets and Yao. Thats his game, post up, get fouled and get half your points from the line.
