He will also require a TIME MACHINE.

Seriously I will never understand the obsession some people on the bbs have with Steve Francis. We have to be the only fanbase in the league that still cares about him. And what for? What did he do while he was here? All those deep playoff runs? He’s won a total of one playoff game in his entire NBA career.

Is it because we have a lot of younger Rocket fans who think that “the good old days” were the days of Francis, Mobley and Cato getting us into the lottery every year? Is it because of the Suns game last year? I seriously don’t get it. The guy is DONE. And it doesn’t matter to the Rockets either way.

This is ridiculous because I actually had faith in francis....Well, I still do, but everyday he does not play make me feel like the end is near...

How can somebody not be motivated with a team like we have?..The perfect chance

    ima,

I know you supported Francis while he was here but really, this is such a bogus argument. he may be done, he may have turned into a knuckle head, but he got out of about as much as you can get out of motay and cato. the only legit player he ever played with for a substantial amount of time here was cuttino.

that's just not a fair argument, especially considering they did have above .500 years twice before making the playoffs.

    LOL

Francis will never get another serious contract. He'd be lucky to get another contract like he got from the Rockets after this season. My guess is that this is his last year in basketball.

This injury takes a year to recoup it has been what 8 months. Look he is going to get his opportunity to show what he can do in practice when he starts practicing. I am a big steve francis fan, But if I was the coach I wouldn't put him in any game.He has not earned the right to put on a uniform yet until he:

    1 Practices

    2. shows that he can run the offense/Defense and contribute according to his role on the team

    3. works hard and sacrifices his individual perception of himself and replace that with 100% commitment to his teamates and the organization.

Mind you I think he can do it but only if he does these things can he come back and even then we are talking about maybe Christmas when that could happen

Rockets would be under the luxury tax threshold if they could magically make his salary slot disappear.

Wow. SF3 really, really let me down. I was a really big fan back in the day. This is truly a sad day for 'Wink' fans.

he was "limping" pretty bad as he walked out during player introductions yesterday. i think he was exaggerating the limp a little, but he definitely wanted everyone to know he was not healthy.

I believe that he will be back in some time ,our pg was a soft location ,
if rafer was injured too ,what about the pg's rotation ,maybe it's a channce for sf3.

He had by far the worst surgery last year, give him a little time. I still like the guy. If his BBall career doesn't work out I hope he replaces Clyde commentating or something. ;)

It's also not fair to blast him with the low bball IQ stuff either. If Cato didn't have butterfingers, Steve could have averaged like 15 assists per game.
