its pretty common to not sit in on the entire hearing unless you are the chair.

I'm not saying its noble or OK but thats how it seems to work.

Not sure if this video is legit, but in fairness to McCain, and I am no fan, but this looks like it came from one of the hearings on normalizing relations w/ Vietnam and/or clearing up the MIA issue, which he did with John Kerry.

At the time, he was basically called a traitor by MIA groups for correctly stating that there were no more MIAs being held by the Vietnamese.

Maybe not something you want in a diplomatic meeting, but if my guess is correct, this would be one of the few times such anger is justified. There are, of course, lots of instances when that anger has erupted unjustified.

 

That is actually doctored to make it look as though McCain is cussing.

Yeah, check the end of this clip. The first was apparently doctored with fake bleeps & transcript.

This does not discount that McCain actually has told fellow legislators to "F---" themselves/off on the Senate floor, and does have a reported temper. He also reportedly physically confronted Rick Renzi & Strom Thurmond, as well. But this appears to be as fake as the Obama OP.

 

And the poster of the video has no understanding of how government works.
