Man window-washing... Being outside can suck in extreme temps, but being autonomous, not dealing with dip****s all day long, and being able to see your finished product in all its glory... That's a pretty sweet gig!

I've known 2 window-washers. One really didn't like it and didn't think he got paid enough for the risk he took and wanted to get out. The other did it as his own small business and worked as a consultant in the winters and really liked window-washing and made good money. So, I think it's an alright job, if the price is right.

But, day laborers and farm hands probably get hurt more often and are paid as poorly.

 

i pick up peoples change when they're at stop lights. usually i hold a can out and people give me money, its the best job ever!

 

If by farm hands you mean migrant farm workers, they probably aren't paid very well. If you mean farm hand as in full time farm worker, they don't do so poorly.

My father in law has a guy that works for him and gets something like $10 an hour and a small percentage of the crop. Not too bad for basically driving an air conditioned tractor the pulls an auger all day.
