This Gordon Monson guy is a jerk. What does he have against players wanting to leave Utah? Printing that stuff was uncalled for.

TheFreak and I agree -- whoa [IMG]

First off, Utah sports writers are the worst in sports -- period. Monson is the biggest putz of the putzes. This is the guy who guaranteed the Jazz would win the title after Utah won Game 1 over Chicago.

They did this same bush league tactic when Shandon left. They had nothing but love for Shandon the entire time he was there. As soon as he left he was blasted.

    Now they're ripping Eisley apart.

Is Monson the best they can get with that $5/hour they pay those stiffs? Awful.

BTW, Utah is going to miss Eisley more than they imagine. The guy used to kill us with jumpers.... good luck doing the same with Jacque Vaughn.

Well, they do have DeShawn. And with our backcourt, he's capable of going off for 20+.

    Woo hoo!!! OFF-TOPIC!!!!

Having a DIRECTV NBA League Pass, I got to hear a lot of announcers & commentators during the past season. Most were objective at the very least. Many had nice things to say about the Rockets and their players. Even the Grizzlies announcers who were very satisfied with Micheal & Othella.

All objective was thrown out during the Utah broadcasts! I think Malone could have punched someone and they'd question why he wasn't at the line shooting two.

Maybe it is something in the air or water up there. I expected more from Hot Rod Hundley as an analyst. The other guy was probably (like Monson) another minimum wage stiff.

Like I read on another thread, the Jazz added 2 key players who were on a 19-63 team last year.

Darkhorse, SLCGriff, other unfortunate Utah residents and myself are subjected to the nonsense that is presented on the Jazz in the press. It is not only limited to their newspapers, but, as was already commented, their announcers are particularly annoying. I, too, was able to watch other commentators and none were bigger "homers" than Hot Rod Boozer Hundley and Ron "what the hell am I doing" Boone. It has gotten to the point where it is nauseating to hear their takes. So don't even get me started on Monson. He has his own show here in Utah in the morning, which I have had the misfortune to listen to.
