I found out about this enhanced version of the 3.0 Firefox browser off of slashdot. It's still in alpha stages, but stable...and all I can say is WOW!!! This browser is ludicrously fast due to an overhauled javascript engine. Give it a try...it won't interfere with your existing Firefox install...some/most/all of your extensions might not work in it, though. All of the internal web apps that we use here run relatively slow due to javascript sludge...but their load times decreased dramatically with Minefield. Have fun! slashdot article... http://tech.slashdot.org/tech/08/10/28/1249231.shtml Minefield download... http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/
I can never tell if a browser is faster or not as long as it's all broadband. But I'm on Minefield now, so we'll see.
WOW. I like faster. So far so good. Of course, I have to customize a bunch of stuff again, but that'll just make it even better!

Thanks boomboom I like this. I have an old computer and this browser makes things fly. So far so good.
Just downloaded it and using it... Question: Is there a way I can open Firefox and Minefield? I now have both icons on my desktop, but when I open either Minefield is the version that opens. Thanks.
