Shouldnt have to bring someone else up just for a couple of weeks.

Barry will do the job nicely, with McGrady/Head able to cover a few possessions when Rafer is sitting.

PG: Alston 30 mins, Barry 18 mins
SG: Tmac 30 mins, head&wafer share 18 mins
SF: Artest 40 mins, landry 8 mins
pf: scola 20 mins, landry 20 mins hayes 8 mins
c: yao 30 mins, scola 10 mins hayes 8 mins

I would like to see Landry try playing SF position. It will help him get enough minutes to play.

barry will play the point especially when head is on the floor at 2. that's the reason why we got barry in the first place: to play spot minutes at 1 and for his shooting.

head played well with barry on the floor. on offense, barry will play 1 and head at 2. with barry's great court vision, head can cut to the basket til he pukes. on defense, head will switch to guard the 1 and barry on the 2.

    What?

I wouldn't call him one of the better PGs in the league. I would call him the right fit for this team though.

i would like to see francis get minutes while brooks is out just to see what he still has left... its still early so it would be okay to see if he can be productive or just stick with barry till brooks gets back...

do we know when francis will be ready? opening day?

There was a few times in the Sacramento game where Brooks was in and Tmac was still bringing the ball up. I found it curious at the time, especially considering how hobbled Tmac looked, but I guess they saw this coming =P

Francis hasn't even participated in one full practice. He won't be ready opening day. Brooks and Battier will probably be back on the court before Francis even finishes one practice.

Head is fine w/ 10 mins pt on 1. We dont need him to dribble a lot. What will he do is shooting the 3's when it's open.

I'm cool with Luther, Barry, TMac splitting backup duties there. Not too big of a deal.

Didn't Artest say he can play all 5 positions? Give him a go at backup PG. Is it just me, or does Artest have a strange dribble? It seems when he dribbles he always has his back to the defender, even far out on the perimeter with the defender 6-8 feet away.

I think Yao should bring the ball up when Rafer is on the bench.

Artest always dribbles with his back to the defender, otherwise, the defender would faint in fear and the refs would have to call a timeout every time.

    Wait... wrong thread :D

All signs point toward Luther Penis I think. He played some point in the past. Anyway, the way our offense is oriented, all the "PG" has to do is dribble the ball past half court. Though I do remember Luther dribbling the ball off his foot a couple of times...

as bad as Head was, he had better PER and less TO than Rafer. He can be Rafer's backup PG.

I don't think its really a big deal. I think with 3 ballhandlers in barry, artest, and tracy, it really makes it easy. Head will backup the pg in position name only but he will be out there with 2 guys who can initiate the offense. When Rafer comes out and head replaces him, artest or tracy will be in. When Artest or tracy goes out, barry comes in along wth head. Head will have that position title, but that's about it.
