I'm not really in the know here, but I would assume that would mean the pick is full-time lottery protected!

Toronto won't make the playoffs. They barely beat Washington at home in a nationally televised game. I think they won by accident. They just got a little too pumped and Jordan missed the last shot. Pardon my cynicism. BTW, Curry left the past two games with back spasms, Murray and Childs are injured, and Williams is playing with several injuries. They are old and broken and not as good as they thought they were. My bet is that they really want a lottery pick, perhaps to trade, but the higher the pick the higher the value. I wouldn't be surprised if they finish lower than the Rockets. My hunch is that they want a PG. Williams continues to make poor decisions and take bad shots. The team just looks lost and confused.

There is another reason Toronto wont make the playoffs. NBA and NBC will do everything in their power to make sure Jordan gets every single call in every single game from now on. Washington and Jordans ass being in the playoffs is much more important for the world to see.

NBA.com says that houston recieves a 2nd round pick as well

is that one conditional as well? do the raps have to make the playoffs in order to pick up that 2nd rounder???

Does anyone have any more information about this??

    Random Fact of the day

Brent Barry is the most efficient scorer in the NBA, scoring 1.51 points for every shot he takes

I understood that Toronto can give any pick they want.

Do I smell a "Perfect Storm" brewing?

Not only did the Pacers lose, and lose convincingly, but their star player, the one they traded Rose away so that he could be the man, threw some punches tonight, and landed them. Jermaine O'Neal will definitely miss one game, maybe two or three based on the cheap shot he took at Michael Curry.

    So umm, go Raptors?

I looked at the NBA.com site and can;t seem to find the trade obligations section. Where did you find that information in their site?

the 2nd rounder is from Detroit, not Toronto. Toronto aquired it by trading the rights to Rebraca and that pick was traded for Hakeem.

its Toronto #1 pick and Detroits #2 pick

Thanks, Hydra. I was hoping all the draft debts were located in one place. I guess that would be too easy.

9 of thier final 11 are against playoff teams and Jordan is still struggling to come back from his injuries. I would honestly be very surprised if either Washington or Toronto made a playoff push, but either one still could.

Where have you heard this? Do you have a link? I've heard the pick is Toronto's 2nd rounder.

As far as toronto's first rounder, I believe it is lotto-protected for seven years. so essentially it's protected forever.

Toronto's #2 pick was dealt to Chicago in part of the Oakley deal, Chicago then sent it to Portland.

Trust me, I know this stuff.

What about the T-mo trade? Don't we owe a 1st round pick
