Unbelievable. I carried a 14 point fantasy lead in tonight's game with Tennessee's defense for my squad and Dallas Clark for his. Lost by ONE point because of Indy's late TD against the fricken prevent.

Actually the "media experts" will probably be talking about something in Dallas as the lead story. Brad Johnson being possibly benched and replaced by Brooks Bollinger. You could not have ESPN or the media doing anything without spending the majority of time talking about the drama in Dallas.   Screw the media. Let them talk about the more sexy teams... Defense wins championships and the Titans have a damn good D-fence!!!

    Titans 7-0!!!! :D :D :p

PS - Tony Kornhole is the most annoying guy in an NFL booth. The fact that most of the third quarter he was saying how the Titans are such a fraud of a team and we can not come back from a deficit and pass the ball no less. Than in the 4th Qtr the Titans are great because they are small town. Get rid of Tony already. He brings no value to that team.

    Good win.

It's okay though, the Packers will bring them back to earth this week.

    This is a non-biased opinion.

    That being said, go Pack!

Conviently leave out how the Titans have had some dissapointing seasons (as well as heartbreaking moments) since leaving Houston.

In the end, they still haven't won a Super Bowl title... and like the Astros, that would be what they are ultimately judged on if they were still in Houston.

Possibly, but the Oilers were loved a lot more than the Texans......

Uhh, yea.... they were here since the 60's. Even if a team breaks your heart every year, after 35 years, they probably do develop attachments (even in this fair-weather, relatively young sports town).

The right comparison will be the Texans in year 2037 vs. the Oilers before they left. I guarantee it won't be the same.

And lastly... not many people were "loving" them when they went 2-14, and were threatening to leave. Many said good riddance. Some (myself included) knew it was a mistake, but I'm also realizing that Houston was damn lucky to get another team... and now that we have one, I'm not going to be looking back wishing they never left.

First time in my life I've ever rooted for the t***. If the Texans somehow manage to sneak into the playoffs this year, we can look back on this game and thank the t***.

The Oilers won the first two championships and lost in the championship game in year 3, while they certainly had some down times, particularly the early 70s, they had some good up times to.

I still wish they never left, because while I like the Texans a bit, it is just not the same.

And to watch the Titans have this incredible season, and get to a Super Bowl a few years ago, is just tweaking an old wound.

I doubt you were around for any of those two AFL championships (which was equivalent to winning the WNBA back then). Most Houstonians now who love the titans and don't like the texans weren't around for that.

And "some good times" in the 70's??? It was the Luv ya Blue days that made this team beloved by all... that is still considered the greatest era of this franchise. I don't know how you could overlook that, if you're truly still heartbroken over them.

Why isn't the same? Try about 35 years difference in longevity, and one team was one you watched in your formative/childhood years. Give it another 35 years for the Texans and then see how you feel?

It wasn't a few years ago... it was TEN years ago. It hurt then... mainly because they had players that actually played in Houston. Now? They have zero connections minus the owner and coach... and could care less about fans in Houston who still follow them.

And, if the Titans ultimately don't win the Super Bowl after this "incredible" season... it will simply be another "what if" in their history chock-full of teams that looked poised to win it all, only to come up short.

Only one team wins it, and it is about rooting and cheering for that team for years until they finally break through......

Look, I have a unique view because I don't live in Houston anymore, and the Oilers will always be the only NFL team that ever held my heart.

It is just not the same, now I root for stats for my fantasy league....fortunatly I have Schaub and A Johnson, so I watch a lot of Texans football.

But, I just can't get into it.....I care more for the Longhorns than I do the Texans and that is sad.....I miss the Oilers.....a lot.

Yeah, I'll never forget those first two championships. I mean, I wasn't born yet, but MAN those were the days!!

Yeah, you've mentioned that. We get it.

They are having a nice season, but I'm pretty excited about how the Texans are playing.

That was 10 years ago, man.... You're still not over THAT?? Sheesh, that was a long time ago. Besides, it was just another gut-wrenching heartbreaking loss.

Dada, I know this is hard for you, but there are those of us who have somehow managed to move on, you know.....since it was over a decade ago and there are no former Oilers on the team and the uniforms are different and the team name is different and they are now retiring jerseys of guys that were never even Oilers, etc. etc. etc....

I know you're sad. You can call me if you just want to talk. I'm here for you.

And plenty of people will feel the same way about the Texans in 30 years.

Its silly to compare a young team's following now with a team that had a whole lot of history... even if the new team has had some successful years.

Plenty of Baltimore fans still miss the Colts... a lot... even though their new team already won a super bowl. Plenty of Browns fans still miss the old Browns... and the stadium... a lot, even though they got to keep their history and their colors.

Damn same thing happened to me! Up by .8 points after the interception....scored too fast on the C. Johnson run and they come back with a insignificant TD and lost by .8...that b*stard Peyton

I've never understood why teams run a prevent defense.

I think the main thing that does it for me is the fact that if I was still a Titans fan, and the ever happened to win it all... I don't have any venue, city, friends, or family who I could share the moment with.

I couldn't go downtown for a parade... I couldn't even log on to their message board/website to talk about them. I don't know who is their local newspaper, thus I wouldn't be grabbing copies of them to save forever. There's no connection AT ALL between Nashivlle and the fans who used to follow the Oilers in Houston.

Worst of all, when a Nashville fan sees a Houstonian still following THEIR team, they look at us like we're the dumbasses... who have nothing better to do than hold on to a team that won't ever be coming back.

The Titans do it all the time when they have games "won"... part of the reason why Sage Rosenfels almost became a legend twice against them.

I said after the Oilers moved that the thought of a championship parade for that franchise in another city would literally make me vomit, after all they put us through here.

eh...jeff fisher was mostly a TN coach. was here on the tail end in the lame duck seasons. the last real oilers coach was jack pardee. once they made it clear they were leaving town, it was difficult for me to continue rooting for them, knowing they were building to be something better somewhere else for a brand new fan base.
