http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headline/sports/6080205.html Rockets second-year point guard Aaron Brooks, considered one of the most important bright spots of the Rockets preseason, was ruled out for 1 to 3 weeks because of a bone bruise in his right ankle. Brooks left Sunday's practice early, and an MRI on Monday determined the extent of the injury. Brooks averaged 14.4 points and 4.1 assists in seven preseason games.
Lord have mercy... can we get a healthy season please? I am begging of you... PLEASE! Poor Aaron, just when he was getting into the groove something slows him down. Get well little buddy. edit: at least it's nothing too serious.
Looks like we'll be dusting off Luther Head now. *shudders* Can't we at least kick off the season with a semi-healthy roster? I'm starting to regret giving all the sportswriters crap over their concerns about the rockets being able to stay healthy.
Injuries are a given. Thank God for our depth. Maybe a chance for Stevie to step up his rehab and contribute.
Damn. That's a buzz kill after how he played in recent games. On the positive side, it's only a bruise and he's young so I wouldn't be surprised if his recovery is toward the shorter end of the spectrum. Now I we can only hope that Adelman calls on Barry as the primary backup, and not Head.
that sucks but at least its now and not at the end, barry, tmac can probably manage running the point. and who knows maybe it gives francis and head a shot too
Well that opens the door for either Francis to kick it in and show everyone what hes got or don't got.....
Well...did i not tell you this team is cursed with injury??? That is just a reminder of that! But no worry, we have Barry to back up Rafer.
the door was always open for him. Francis is the one that has to walk through it but what is the hold up a head cold. All this means is the possible return of dj strawberry. 2 days til opening night don't hold your breath. I want to see Francis back also but its way to early. Especially for a guy who hasn't stepped foot on the court or even practiced with the team. What can he possibly do. Everyone of our Rockets Fans will get to see what Luther Head is all about once again
