Is it really almost time. Is it (gasp) almost here??!!! OPENING NIGHT!!!! :D :D :D

I was hoping to go to the game, but couldn't swing it on a Wed night. Sooo, who's watching it in Austin and where? I'm on the NW side of town. I usually go to Legends (Mopaq and 183)- not the best sports bar in the world, but they like the Rockets and make sure the volume is on for the games. Where else was everyone thinking of going?

    Is it Wed yet???

Legends in Houston is a strip club. Haven't been inside, but I'm sure they have some TV's there.

I will be at Legends. I've never had a problem getting the game on there.

DD and I usually go to Third Base, they have decent food.
    I also vote for Pluckers.

Wouldn't Thursday's game be easier to organize?
its on TNT and you can get TNT at any place that has TVs.

Plus we're playing the Mavericks, so I assume this game would be more exciting. Plus we can yell at the Mavs fans.

Hey DD, they replaced Ringers with Maria Maria (an mexican restaurant), but I passed by and they still have the huge projection screen and bar.

    what do you think?

Opening night might be better for those of us without NBA League Pass.

I'm going to have to go somewhere to watch it, might as well meet up with folks.

Legends (not the strip club in Houston, but the Sports bar in Austin) has a good number of screens. They have some wall-sized projection as well as a decent number of flat screen and standard TVs. I prefer to get one of the areas on the right side of the room - Nice flat screen with a bank of screens around so I can see what's going on in the other games.

I'm with you. Mavericks game might be more entertaining. However, I believe it's law that you have to celebrate opening night after a LOOONNNNG off-season - if it's not law than it ought to be! Also, I'm more likely to watch the Thurs night game @ home since it's on a channel I can get - TNT.

Just make sure they give you volume for the game!!! We had a restaurant that had pretty good TVs at the bar where we could drink (duh, it's a bar), eat (pretty good food) and watch. Then they decided they wouldn't pipe the volume over the bar anymore. The place lost it's appeal real quick!

Me again. Just noticed something weird. I've been a member for a while, and while I visit often, I rarely post. However I know I've posted more than 167 times. I just noticed that my post count doesn't increment each time I post. Weird.
