i can't wait for the elections to be over, i really want to see what McCain REALLY thinks about those supporters, you know, after Obama is elected and McCain has nothing to lose, i want the real McCain to talk about those people. This is sad because McCain is an American hero who's reputation will be tainted by the way his campaign was run, if i were a worker for his campaign, i'd find me a new career path after this is over.
Sorry but the atmosphere of the crowd in some of those McCain Palin speeches is simply unparalleled and a level below anything you'll find at an Obama event - the xenophobia and nastiness is unique.
You missed these parts of the article... and... Of course, the same guy offering the repudiation is the same guy who pitched the "Backward B" girl story to reporters in the most reprehensible fashion. And what the article does not mention is that several Republican Party leaders signed the email. Here are the relevant sections from an NYTimes piece on the same story... So, senior Republicans sign off on it and a former Republican Judge who is on the McCain Campaign's Election Monitoring Task Force (are you kidding me!) helped write it. The aide that was "dismissed" had been sent from FL, meaning it was a national decision... and if you think that guy won't show up in some other state, you haven't been tracking the news over the last 8 years or so. And really rj, the examples you cite of Dems saying bad things are from people who will vote for Dems but those comments do not emanate from the Obama campaign or the upper echelon of the Dem Party or if they do, are only said once and not countenanced. Your comparison is not valid.
Wait a minute. These aren't even close. None of the things you mentioned actually came from the Obama campaign. The things listed about Ayers etc. are directly from the McCain/Palin campaign. I think Obama's side is miles ahead in terms of honor.
I have NOT heard Obama call McCain senile or Palin a c(nt. I HAVE heard McCain himself imply Obama is a muslim terrorist. As such, he is throwing chum in the water and leads this country into dangereous territory. It's one thing to make fun of somebody's wardrobe or age ...or even attack Palin's pregnent/unwed daughter. It's quite another to prey on people's deepest fears and inciting racial hatred. Do you remember the LA riots? Spurring this type of hatred litterally ruins innocent people's lives and can cause economic ruin if outbursts occur. It's flat out NOT good for America to encourage the sort of racial divisive tactics we're seeing. Comparing McCain attacks to Obama attacks is apples/oranges.
is McCain old?Yes is Obama a terrorist? No Is palin qualified to lead this nation? No Did she paint herself as a idiot? absolutely Id obama a arab? no Yes, I belive these things just like most obama supporters.I have come to the conclusion that the reason rocketsjudoka belives obama supporters have been just as tasteless is because he secretly shares the same hateful beliefs as the McCain mob, but is not being forthright with the bord. It's kinda like trying to make a point to rush limbough or Joe the plummer. no matter how clear you are and what facts you show, they will always give u have a incohernet rebuttal.I guess being racist is =to calling mccain old?and saying obama is a terrorist is= to callig Pailn a dummy??? You guys are all wasting your time with this guy.
You don't think there might be a group of black folk ranting about similar racial things concerning McCain and his supporters? I don't condone what those people were doing and saying, but it goes both ways, and it'll be seen from both sides. All it takes is a little fishing with a camera.
I've been reading this board for a very long time... rocketsjudoka is not the most opinionated person in the world, usually neutral on most issues... the only time he got passionate about anything was when those Muslim taxi drivers refused to give drunken people rides. So I don’t think he has any ulterior motives.... IMO he always brings a fresh air of intellectual rationale to most discussions. Though I have to agree he’s wrong on this occasion, it’s quite clear that the right has gone beyond the line of acceptable political rhetoric.
Every rally that McCain has thrown sience he deiced to go for the ignorant vote all across this country, have been klan type rallys.I realy doubt that blacks are sitting around calling McCain a terriost,or saying kill whitey at Obama rallys.I understand where you get your way of thinking(limbough, hannity, fox news) starting to feel all republicans feel this way about black people.Just like consevities blame hip hop for crime, blacks for the economic crash that, we are dealing with now. You excuess is that black MIGHT be rainting the same things as well? we know exactly what McCain supporters are DEFINITELY saying around the country. stop assuming and show me some proof.
You haven't seen too many Obama rallies. Number one, when anything even close to that happens at Obama rallies, Obama has the decency to call it out and shut it down. Number two, the majority at Obama rallies are white. It would be very odd for groups of black voters to line up outside of them and shout things about how dumb white people are.
I don't think they are all uneducated, just ill informed, or rather only have one side of something. People should take the time to look at everything objectively, but alas, that is not going to happen. DD
There is a such thing as uneducated people and studies have showen that most of them are in the McCain camp. lib⋅er⋅al 1. favorable to progress or reform, as in political or religious affairs. 2. (often initial capital letter) noting or pertaining to a political party advocating measures of progressive political reform. 3. of, pertaining to, based on, or advocating liberalism. 4. favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, esp. as guaranteed by law and secured by governmental protection of civil liberties. 5. favoring or permitting freedom of action, esp. with respect to matters of personal belief or expression: a liberal policy toward dissident artists and writers. 6. of or pertaining to representational forms of government rather than aristocracies and monarchies. 7. free from prejudice or bigotry; tolerant: a liberal attitude toward foreigners. 8. open-minded or tolerant, esp. free of or not bound by traditional or conventional ideas, values, etc. con⋅serv⋅a⋅tive 1. disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change. 2. cautiously moderate or purposefully low: a conservative estimate. 3. traditional in style or manner; avoiding novelty or showiness: conservative suit. 4. (often initial capital letter) of or pertaining to the Conservative party. 5. (initial capital letter) of, pertaining to, or characteristic of Conservative Jews or Conservative Judaism. 6. having the power or tendency to conserve; preservative. 7. Mathematics. (of a vector or vector function) having curl equal to zero; irrotational; lamellar. –noun 8. a person who is conservative in principles, actions, habits, etc. The very definition of what a conservative and a liberal is might explain the problem.
For the 500th time - where is this tape of yours showing this? McCain Palin hold these mob-scene rallies where people are chanting terrorist kill him, etc. A lot of those videos of the hardcore white mccain palin people are a few feet away from a klan march. You claim it "goes both ways" Where is the other way? The atmosphere at an Obama even doesn't have ths kind of organized hatred, xenophobia, and nastiness. If you feel otherwise provide some evidence. I've asked lots of people on this board this question and nobody really has shown anything that parallels the nastiness on display here.
The Obama campaign does about three to four events a day, so why have you not brought forth any proof yet?
So true. We have the usual supsects on this thread acting likea slightyly more educated version of the sad McCain supporters at hisrallys.
