You only shave twice a week and you have heavy stubble?

For me personally, I shave every other day, normally.

That's a good idea leaving the razor in the baby oil.

    This man speaks the truth.

I've used both the Wal-Mart brand (The Shave Secret) and the other stuff (The Total Shaving Solution) and I think the Total Shaving Solution smells a little better, but otherwise they work equally well.

The thing that frustrates me is that I try to convert friends of mine and they think I'm full of crap. They can't imagine that something so simple and unexpected could work so well. I read about it here about 3 years ago, and I've been hooked ever since.

That's what I use. The little blue bottle from CVS. Awesome stuff.

As for pubes, skin so soft from AVON is awesome for that. I mean, I read it somewhere or something. srsly, DON'T JUDGE ME!

This seems to work both before and after a shave for me...

And I always shave after a shower, as hot as I can stand it, and I put my face under the shower head for a minute right before getting out.

I know there's somebody on here that will try this, but ... I've heard of people shaving with olive oil. Anyone here try it or be willing to? :D

The reason I ask is that many of those $15 for .0002 ml (hehe) bottles just contain various amounts of common oils and maybe some menthol. So come on... somebody try some olive oil and let me know if it works.

If you get a chance try shaving with aloe vera.

Ok, I just used this for the first time, and I am not sure about it.

I used fresh razor blades for my Schick Quatro Titanium, and it took two blades to complete the shave. Two brand new razors to shave my face which was sporting 5 day hair. I've never used more than one blade in one in a shave session.

So did I do something wrong? My razor was incredibly clogged half-way through. I kept my face wet the whole time, used only 4 drops in the shave process and the hair was so gunked up in the blade that it was impossible to clean it out.

Maybe because its a shaving oil your blade is gonna get clogged up more than if you were using a shaving cream.
I've been using the total shaving solution/shave secret for about a week now and the method I use when shaving is with short choppy strokes, rinse and repeat. This stuff works pretty good you just have to keep rinsing your blade alot more often.

Note: Use an old toothbrush to clean out those other blades you clogged up really bad. :D

LOL, I like getting shaving advice. :D

I shaved this morning with TSS and I hadn't shaved since Thursday of last week since I had a 3-day weekend. I use the Mach 3 and after a few strokes, it gets full of hair too. I usually hit it against the side of the sink a few times to clean it out before I go back for more.

I been doing that since I started shaving in high school, so I'm not sure this has anything to do with TSS. If you have more than a few days growth, your razor is going to get clogged no matter what you use to shave.

Right, but I'm usually able to clean it out when it gets clogged. This was so clogged up that I couldn't get the hair out of it even with the sink blasting it at full pressure.

I wanted some advice on Straight razor's, thinking about getting one myself so I thought instead of creating a new thread I'd just bump this one, no harm done...
