LOL ... after those opening three paragraphs, if the Suns win the championships this season Scoop should just retire from the prediction-game.
I think it has more to do with Scoop's love for Ron Artest than anything else. But unlike Screamin A, Scoop usually has basis for most of his predictions (along with some personal bias).
Anybody else think that would actually be a really badass ad campaign for the Rockets this year? Have a picture of all our guys standing, looking dead-ahead with FEA(RED) under it....have a pic of Artest and Barry with (RED)EFINED.....have a pic of the rowdies or something and have TREASU(RED) under it. I'm sure you guys could come up with a bunch of others that would go really well.....I just think it goes perfectly with the whole GET RED theme.
I'm glad someone is on our side. The more pundits that believe the Rockets SHOULD win, the more the referees will call f**king Utah for fouling us. It was even evident in that Sacramento game how far McGrady has fallen in the public perception, because the refs weren't calling s**t for him. They even gave him an OFFENSIVE FOUL when Kevin Martin so blatantly flopped and then T-Mac got absolutely pummeled at the rim. It pisses me off so much that this is how the NBA works, that you have to be perceived as a superstar before you can get calls like one, but that's the way it is. For the Rockets to win the championship, we're gonna need some help. Every team since the '94-'95 Rockets has had help.
Scoop's optimism may be a jinx, but all your negativity serves as a reverse-jinx. It's simple scientific equilibrium. Take us to the promised land, Big Three.
I know I shouldn't have read those comments. Those "bloggers" have made me very angry - very angry indeed. http://www.gargaro.com/MaRvInWaVs/angry.wav
