Obama is a new breed a man so vile, he's a terrorist, communist, socialist, Liberal, totalitarian, dictator, cult leader, atheist, Muslim, wrong kind of Christian, America hating, non-American, black, not black, Arab, elitist, welfare encouraging, wants to lose, celebrity liar. There is no comparison.
If that turns out to be true, he'll be exactly the leader we have come to deserve. We will have done it to ourselves....
It will be interesting to see if McCain loses if it will put an end to the Rovian politics of smear. Maybe I am getting sensitive, but it seems much worse than any other campaign.
I won't end it because smearing will remain effective in some cases if not all. We can hope things clean up a bit because of how much McCain has tarnished himself. If more longtime Republican officials come out against the McCain campaign's tactics, I don't think 2012 will be as muddy.
It is a shame that the Bush administration and all of it's trappings has created a truly unique political mindset that is devoid of substance, bereft of ideas, and morally bankrupt. I see automatons beyond the pale of normal political decency and so completely un-self aware as to be blind to the fact that their mindless recapitulation of the politics of divisiveness is rapidly becoming the gravest threat to our nation. The reality is that you have a very conservative base in this country whose mindset is set on the bible and its truths and they try to coincide that with a flawed political system and political figures that will never measure up to what God intended for humans. So the reality is that it is God vs. man vs. republican vs. democrat. Not a winning battle and until the end, divisiveness will persist.
I think for every stupid thread like this one, everyone should reply with his/her favorite FAIL picture/motivational poster.. here ya go: I think this simple fail image is very representative of the TJ/Basso/ROXRAN/OMR antics (add Joshaaronb to the honorable list) .. this picture is highly symbolic and carries a very significant allegorical value .. this "bike" that the kid is riding symbolizes the embarrassing campaign that their party has been running, and the crying kid is very symbolic of their situation as a result of this failed bike (or campaign): they're crying out in despair, being attention whores, and acting all obnoxious to alleviate the feeling of fail that this bike has caused 'em ..
You all forgot that Obama also does drugs. I think you're slipping. Stalin, on drugs, but a "muslin," and also playing jump rope with terrorists and vacationing with Paris Hilton. By the way, I think we have to drop the term "Rovian." It all goes to Atwater, and Rove suckled at that teat. New documentary on Atwater, FWIW.
