Spending my first of 4 winters in Michigan. Thing is, I don't have a jacket! Does anyone have rec. for good winter coats. I have been looking at a lot of the North Face ones, but still can't make up my mind.

You could always try buying a red blazer and then sewing a Rockets logo onto one of the chest pockets.
I moved from Houston to Chicago last year, and you definitely need a new winter coat in Michigan, nothing you own in Houston will do the trick, nothing. I got a Canada Goose Chilliwack..they're a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. Having a parka hood really helps keep the blowing snow and ice away from your face.
can some of you web guru in here explain to me why I can't create new thread? Do I need to pay for that or something?
