Buca di Beppo is a franchise. The first time I'd eaten there was actually in Indianapolis just a few blocks from Conseco Fieldhouse where the Pacers play and the old RCA Dome so there's even a possibility Ron has been there before. I think the place is overrated but to each his own.

    Welcome to Houston, Ron!

Artest is better off eating at Yao Mings restaurant than eating the food at Timmy Chans.

I was actually gonna suggest The Gentlemen's Club, Treasures, Colorado. They all have a mean lunch buffet. Lunch with a view. But Ron being a family man might not be interested.

Yo, Ron, if you're reading this, please consider this recommendation....

    2 Words, Ron. TIMMY.............CHANS.

You aint an official H-Town cat until you've eaten there. I guarantee you'll love the food

Timmy Chan's is the place, just ask Paul Wall.

Wow, just...wow. This belongs in a BBS discussion, but Star Pizza no (don't even dare ask a NY native to try our city's 'finest' pizza), Buca de Beppo no, Maggiano's no, LUTHER'S (not this Pappa's crap) is good but any hole in the wall BBQ joint in your local neighborhood is better, Ruth's Chris maybe, Taste of Texas no, Landry's no, Frenchy's Fried Chicken no, Jimmy Johns/Timmy Chan's definitely no (go to the real Chinatown), and I dunno anything about that place Katz's.

Houston DOES have some of the best food anywhere, but it definitely ain't served in chain restaurants.

Mai's is terrible. Tan Tan, Sinh Sinh, Jackie Tan, and Fufu Cafe are way better, and they open till about 3 am on the weekends.

Bellaire aint that bad bro, I mean, I'm from FONDREN...and I have yet to get shot. Maybe it's cause I gotta bullet proof vest that blocks shots like Olajuwon. LOL, nah, but for real, I really am from Fondren and I have yet to get shot, Bellaire aint that bad.

Well if you're reading this Ron, WELCOME ABOARD!! The basketball Gods sent us a gift. Maybe you can toughen this team up and show the other guys how to carry a chip on their shoulder. Thanks for the help!

BTW, Timmy Chan's gets two thumbs up! and yes sometimes I'll troll around here myself, it's a good place to be a troll! ;)

i'll go ahead and wholeheartedly agree that the OP's original list of eating establishments was horrible.
