Favorable/Unfavorable ratings. Incoherent on the economy, the divisive nastiness of Palin, the ugly angry mob rallies, the nasty tone of attack ads and the grumpy old man act in the debates = favorability ratings go out the window.
bush knew how to run a negative campaign, let the 507's do the dirty work. then act dignified in denouncing while the info has already gotten out of there. mccain tried to turn up the attacks on his own and is reaping his sown seeds, that stuff is not cute in a i'm going to make you think sort of way. you start to bring out alot of negative underlying feelings out of some of your supporters. i'm sure if obama starting floating some negative ads, you will see a lot of negative behavior at his rallies. you don't come out overtly and say some guy hangs with terrorists, it doesn't work. people will get tired of it.
