I thought thought that he was fouled atleast 4 or 5 times when he turned it over, but the refs didn't call them. He had 24 points, 8 boards, and 8 dimes, and the Warriors only scored a couple of points off of his turnovers, so I wouldn't complain about how he played. CATO WAS AWESOME! HE WAS HAMMERING EVERYTHING DOWN.
Being a must-lose game, Steve clearly did all he could to help the effort. The other Rockets and especially Kenny Thomas, apparently did not get the memo.
steve should never have 9 turnovers but to his defense golden state took advantage of maybe 2 of them. i guess his almost triple double was the result of his tanking it.
Not to be a Stevie-defender/lover, but even the Golden State announcers agreed that some of his TO's were bs. The GS announcers loved him.

Yes, but not on this team, we should trade him either before the end of his contract in a package with Rice, or after his extension when he can go straight up for a high dollar player.
Give me a break, trading Steve Francis would be the stupidest thing this franchise has ever done.. Take into consideration that Hakeem left on his own free will..

Hell yes Francis should be a shooting guard! The man has duck-webbed, clown feet and a kangaroo's dribbling skills. Because it's nearing Easter, try to catch a Cadbury Cream Egg commercial; y'all know, the one where all of the different animals try out for the role of the Cadbury bunny? That's Steve Francis in a nutshell. He says he's a PG, demands a trade when he is told that he'll be a SG, winds up not being a good PG after all, but he winds up playing the part. Tisk , tisk, tisk. Steve Francis could be a PG in an offense that doesn't need one, e.g. the triangle offense or the pass it in, pass it out offense of the days of old. But we're not either one of those kinds of teams, but we're dead last in the league in assists, and in the middle of the pack in turnovers. Premph: yeah, I'm whining a bit. But at least I'm consistent insofar as standing firm that Francis is a lame PG whether we win or lose. Francis needs a veteran to teach him the Right Way to play the PG spot. I wish that we had Isiah Thomas as our coach sometimes. Isiah could really help Francis develop and mature, that is if we insist on keeping him as a PG.
Francis w/extension + Cato (or MoT, Rice, etc. big sal stiff) for Duncan. Should be a good offer for SA.
The frustrating aspect of Steve's recent rash of TOs is their cause: flash. A couple of those TOs can from Steve just trying to be 'cute.' Actually, a lot of Steve's TOs come from him trying to make SportsCenter, i.e. no look passes in traffic, or this annoying little 'dribble through my legs with one hand' thing he's starting to do. It's not as if Steve's turning it over anytime someone actually guards him close, so ball-handling isn't an issue with him. And for all the forced passes that make us scratch our collective heads, there are plenty of times where Steve executes flawlessly and impressively. Grow up and make the simple, effecient play Steve.
OK, can we get some career stats of great guards in NBA history for comparison, like (ick) John Stockton, Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson? Statistically, he only turns the ball over about one more per game than Andre Miller, who many people say is one of the best point guards in the league.
