hi all, my contract is running out in late december or early janurary, im looking for a PDA phone that have wifi and a good browser. i currently own a nokia n800 internet tablet and the web on that device is phenomonal. so if anyone have any suggests it would be appreciated.

the nokia e71 looks good since it uses symbian browser as well but i never tried it for browsing personally so can't judge.

the main thing with the iphone is that i m not really down with paying the data plan package, i have wifi practically everywhere i go so i dont need a 3g package. also not a big fan of touch typing. i have that on my nokia right now but i really prefer something with hardkeys.

How much do you want to spend?

If you are willing to shell out the cash, then you should check out the HTC Touch HD and the HTC Touch Diamond. (Hopefully ATT gets the Touch HD soon so my friend can hook me up with it soon)

    Here is the Touch HD:

They both come with Opera Mobile which is a great browser, but if you don't like that, there are a lot of 3rd party ones you can get.

The thing that made me get an HTC over an Iphone was how much customization you can do on the windows mobile platform. Hell, you can even make the HTC run the iphone interface.

I would say your choice should be between the Iphone and the Touch HD. :D

HTC Touch Pro may be better for you, it's like HTC Touch Diamond except also has a slide out keyboard.

You can get a new browser www.skyfire.com for Windows Mobile that is supposed to be the best mobile browser available.

Unfortunately, like I stated in the "G1 vs. iPhone" thread, HTC announced that the Touch HD will not be coming stateside. If you import the the HD to America, you will be without the use of 3G

BTW, I don't care what type of customization it offers, Window Mobile OS sucks the big ones majorly....

Sprint Touch Pro aka ATT Fuze. I'm going to return my Diamond for it.

Best "desktop" browser is Skyfire Beta. It eats RAM up like candy, but it's the only one that plays Flash smoothly.

Opera Mobile or Mini is also nice. I use it more than Skyfire because it's more stable.

The G1 is an HTC phone. It's only a manner of time before hobbyist developers port it over to other HTC phones.

The Iphone is a great phone, but I personally got bored with it fairly quickly. HTC allows me to full customize the phone into a Houston Rockets-themed or Oakland Raiders-themed phone so that trumps everything else for me. :D

He's asking for the cellphone with the best browser... blackberry browsing sucks. It's great for a lot of other things.

I've tried LOTS of different phones in the past few years, and the iPhone beats all by a mile for browsing the web. I prefer a real QWERTY keyboard, but you get used to the touch fairly quickly.

I recently got a Blackberry Curve and the browser is way better than Motorola Q and HTC XV6700 which were both Windows Mobile PDA phones.

Bingo. The browser is one of the two reasons I got an iPhone. After having used a Blackberry, it beats the iPhone in several respects, but internet browsing isn't one of them.

I'd have to go with the Skyfire browser too. It's still only in beta but its already ahead of the game. Runs as fast as a desktop browser on my windows mobile phone. Opera is a close second.
