I agree 100%. Biggest areas for him to focus on: 1. Avoid giving up his dribble and getting caught in the air with nowhere to go. 2. Avoid too many wild passes. Keep it simple for the most part. He's a decent passer. Keep the tricky passes down to a minimum. Just keep using his quickness and ballhandling to penetrate and create. 3. Get a mid-range game.
In the last three games he has kept the brain farts and bad decision makings to a minimum. i think it's improving due to expierence and good coaching. even now when he goes up in the air, he seems to think alot faster and makes better passes. the game has become slower for him. that was bound to happen.
Aaron Brooks really remind me of Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf back in the days because of the similar style. Does anyone agree with me? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ozxEUAUlEFc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ozxEUAUlEFc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Damn looking at the height comparison, McGrady is so much taller than I thought . Really is a gift for a man his size to be able to play Swingman yet have PG abilities, similar to the great Magic Johnson.
i wish he were as good of a shooter. mahmoud had a silky release. Aaron seems to take a bit longer to shoot the rock.
Rasheed wallace was asked who has the most deciving height in the nba. he said mcgrady. he is listed at 6'8, but he is around 6'9 or 6-10
Don't want to rain on your parade, but man you need to lay off the hyperbole. First you said Scola in the future could be better than Boozer and now your jive with CP3 II...
No doubt. CP3 will end up being one of the greatest PGs ever. He'll be a perennial MVP candidate. Brooks likely won't ever even be a starting PG. I do think he can be a very good backup PG though if he keeps progressing. Comparing Brooks to CP3 is beyond ridiculous.
I missed the game and everyone is raving about brooks and landry. Their box doesn't look to special, brooks was decent because of the threes, and landry was 4-11. what did I miss that the box won't tell me.
The box? Is that what you call TV? You probably listening to lupe fiasco lol. Aaron Brook played 42 minutes and its only preseason so he's not even tired yet he got a lot of energy in him. and Landy did some highlight dunk and stuff.
boxscore, stats. I should have been more clear and even noticed i said their box. I could have phrased it better.
I can't agree with you more.Haven't you notice that lenovo has crashed into nba final game last season?
Before pre-game warmups, Brooks was practicing tear drops with Rocket staff. It was a welcomed sight seeing him use it during the game instead of seeing him getting stuffed. Deke and Yao sparring against each other during pre-game was replaced by Dorsey and Yao. Pretty fun sight to see. Yao was missing FTs even during pre-game warm-ups. He probably wasn't feeling well because usually when he misses FTs in a game, he is one of the first to come out of the tunnel and get to the FT line but yesterday he didn't show up for the second half until the horn sounded and he came out coughing. Artest must have had his kids couple of rows behind the bench because during the second half he kept looking up and checking on them. It's been a couple of games now that I noticed that he's out on the floor until 20 minutes before pre-game shooting. It's a long season, hopefully he doesn't tire himself out. Seems like he's as a bad workaholic as Yao is. One thing about the game itself ... the team definitely needs to tie up loose ends defensively. The guards are letting their man break them down too much and the team's transition defense sucks. Hopefully the team can use this break before the next preseason game to work on it.
