    Artest's 1st half stats:
    13pts, 4reb, 3asst, 3stl

    Not too shabby

We kept the TOs down but the Kings defense isn't very good.

Scola was getting burned defensively. He hasn't found his rhythm offensively. He'll get it going, though.

I strongly support keeping Wafer and trying to move Head at some point for a pick or exception.

What i like about ron is he isnt forcing it. he is allways looking to feed yao. on almost every position he is looking to lob it into yao.

I almost forgot that this is not Rockets' strongest lineup.

This preseason was good for Yao and Brooks.
Landry showed what he can do.
Scola is still trying to find his game but we know his potential.
I still want to see Tmac in the lineup and Battier joining the action.

agreed about artest. he looks very relaxed...trying to play team ball. good lord....if he plays with this demeanor all year...our team should win 60+ games for sure.

Yup, 40% of our starting lineup from last season hasn't even been playing, other than those few minutes Mac played against Boston.

I, too, am interested to see Artest and Battier on the floor together. It should be a nice balance. Battier is more fundamentally sound defensively while Artest is better at help defense and going for steals. They could complement each other well.

Landry has improved remarkably on both ends of the floor. His jump shot is more consistent and his defense is becoming legit. He's marking his man better and showing the ability to be a decent shot blocker.

Scola will get it together. He has his back-it-in-spin-move, and if he shoots the ball instead of always pump faking, he should get plenty of open looks.

Scola's shot technique is awkward. It looks like he puts too much palm on the ball and leans forward during the shooting motion. I wonder if he will tweak that at all and use more finger tips and stop leaning forward.

And this is without our best player in mcgrady and our 2nd best primeter defender in battier. our depth this year is off the charts.

Our depth is good but I am still worried about frontcourt length. I see us struggling against bigger frontcourts.
