I don't wanna get into a peeing contest with Fatty about MY favorite Karate Kid Song in the "Moment of Truth" thread. What's your favorite Karate Kid (part I) song? Mine is "The Moment of Truth" by Survivor. I think it summarizes the movie. A close second is "Cruel Summer." Yeah, it's a slow Friday at work. DAMN IT ! I forgot to click "add poll." Oh, well, FAIL on me.
My choice is easily "YOU'RE THE BEST". That would be my theme song if I had to do anything that needed a theme song.
Well, maybe it had to do with the fact that I heard "Moment of Truth" while I was still in Mexico and didn't know ANY English at all, and I misheard lyrics (I still do). I think they played the video constantly on one of them locally-owned stations in the valley after a movie ended sooner than on the top of the hour. I also heard "Cruel Summer" at around the same time, and didn't know the movie had it. When I got to this U.S. and A., I saw the movie and quickly recognized the songs. You guys are right: "You're the best" is catchy and epitomizes anyone's struggle. Good point, Angkor.
It's a tie, I am a sucker for any montages in a movie. The Moment of Truth and Your'e the Best. I wish I had a montage button in my life so when I was mowing the grass or other tasks, it would be over quickly.
There is only one Karate Kid song, and that's You're the Best. Seriously, I didn't even realize that was in question.
