Suggestion: The discussion in this thread needs to change to the Senate. How many seats will the Dems win? 56? 58? 60? 62? Most people are now saying Elizabeth Dole is a goner in North Carolina. The key remaining states are Oregon, Minnesota, Alaska, Georgia, Kentucky and Mississippi. The Dems need 5 of these to get to 60 without Lieberman. I'm guessing Obama will take a couple of days later this month to campaign with Franken and Merkley to help them close the sale in Oregon and Minnesota. Anything can happen, but I'm gonna guess they end up with 57 or 58. In the unlikely event the GOP gathers no momentum at all between now and election day, 60/61 is quite possible. At some point, McCain will drag GOP senate candidates down if he can't get some kind of bump in the next 3 weeks.
Great video of Obama taking a question from a plumber on what looks like a rope line. Whether or not you agree with Obama, this is how you answer a question. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vFC9jv9jfoA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vFC9jv9jfoA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Pfft. Whatever. I didn't hear any mention of: "my friend" "maverick" "reformer" "palling with terrorists" etc. That's what the American people need to hear at a time like this.
That "Joe" dude is a plant by the People's Republic of Korea. Obama's socialist buddies doing some heavy lifting there....
I bet, that man walked away with more respect then he had for Obama before he talked to him, even if he votes the other way,He needs to do more of that.
This is why he needs more money, maybe that 50 state strategies is working in some of the states. He is going to force McCain to Spend money in fl, Virginia, Missouri, North Carolina, and North Dakota and maybe even Georgia waste his money.
i'm about to tear up knowing that we have waited 8 long years and are now finally so close to having back an articulate and bright president back in the White House
Hahaha, same guy immediate phones Falsenews and talk about Obama being a scary socialist. Another episode of self-parody bought to you by Fox. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BpZLMPoQ8VI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BpZLMPoQ8VI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Obama looked brilliant in that response. Articulate, intelligent, and charismatic. After 8 years of embarrassment, we finally have a chance of having someone who is worthy enough to be the leader of the sole super power in the world.
What? Obama without a teleprompter can still function? Obama didn't pander to his audience and just tell them what they wanted to hear? I guess all the GOP talking points are coming crashing down on their heads. Did anyone see the video of John McCain talking at the ACORN event where he was telling them that what was special in America was what was inside that room?
Very approachable...I like the fact he doesn’t have that vote for me or you’re a trader attitude like we are use to seeing from presidents’ think this is good for our politics in America, and maybe will even rub of the angry right. .
It's funny I didn't hear the plumber call Obama a socialist to his face. After Obama takes 5 minutes of his day to fully answer the man's question and how he'll pay 3% more on taxes over 250,000k (the same rate as under Clinton) and why Obama thinks that's good policy for all of America, he turns around like a little b**** and whines to Fox News about socialism. My goodness... did Fox ever even play the full clip of the conversation?

LOL! That's hilarious, because Obama wants us to be lumped in with the rest of the world. Forget this "super power" talk. Apparently you haven't heard many of his speeches.
My favorite part of the interview: 1) You'd have to resent Fox for calling you a peasant, since it is their analogy. 2) If you're complaining that you'll be taxed higher, you wouldn't be one of the peasants being redistributed to, you'd be considered one of the greedy rich people.
More like he didn't want to get OWNED in front of the cameras. Just like the McCain campaign, talking smack behind the back, under cover of FOX and Rush Limbaugh. Can't blame them. Need and umbrella when the facts are raining so hard on you.
