I couldn't tell if this was a D&D topic. Maybe there are some here who'll actually take Baker's side on this, I don't know ... http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3636469 [rquoter] Perry responded by asking about treatable diseases that a person can live with for a long time "if you just get some basic drugs." Baker responded, "Like Magic Johnson?" Perry replied, "Like Magic with his faked AIDS. Magic faked AIDS." Baker said, "You think Magic faked AIDS for sympathy?" Perry replied, "I'm convinced that Magic faked AIDS." "Me too," Baker said.[/rquoter] Edit: This was already posted in NBA forum ... my bad.
Why am I so suprise it is someone from ESPN, yet again? He has HIV, which doesn't mean you have AIDS, it just means you have the possiblity of acquiring AIDS and other nasty conditions. Magic wealthy career as a businessman and basketball player has enabled him to buy the best cocktails. Why would anybody fake having AIDS? That's insanity. Besides, he doesn't have AIDS, anyway. These are things 4th graders should know... Ignorance is so funny.
Why would you want to fake AIDS, especially with peple refusing to play with you, let alone shake your hand?
Who from ESPN? Chris Baker and the other clown co-host some conservative talk radio show in Minneapolis.
Dude, it's not somebody at ESPN. ESPN is just reporting the story. As mentioned, they're Minneapolis talk show hosts.
I don't think it ever did...I'm pretty positive it's HIV but yeah, these are shock jocks and would say whatever to get listeners and stir up controversy
Anyone actually hear the clip? http://www.scoopthis.org/tag/chris-baker/ Baker was obviously joking in response to the other host.
I listened to it. They were laughing over it. I agree, probably just joking around. Hell of a topic to joke around about, though. Real classy, guys. I guess they're either unbelievably ignorant, or they're callous jerks.
If your rich, you can afford the enormous expense of an HIV drug maintenance. If you can't, you're a walking corpse....
not true, if you live in harris county the same antiretrovirals Magic takes are free/ low cost (income based on sliding scale )
