Haha, it does appear as if she is indirectly trying to link her "Hockey Mom" days with, i guess, experience for her public resume for the rest of the world!?! "...but it's a great sports and its all about extremely, extremely hard work and tenacious and determined play its a level of good life lessons that you learn as a hockey fan and hockey player that you can apply to everyday life" Matt Damon was right, she is like a bad Disney movie trying to use her experience on the hockey rink to help lead this country!
"The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said at an earlier fundraiser that she would stop some of the booing from the rowdy Philadelphia fans by putting her seven year old daughter, Piper in a Flyers jersey. She said, “How dare they boo Piper!”" http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/10/11/palin-drops-puck-at-flyers-game-receives-mixed-reaction/
Well, perhaps it's my bias, but putting the kid out there in a home team jersey always seemed like a transparent ploy to prevent boos which she, and Ed Snider, the owner of Flyers, should have realized would not have worked. It's Philly, they'd boo Piper. I dare say they'd boo Trig, too. Things are really that bad there.
^She mentions her son whenever abortion comes up, so it's not like she has any trouble throwing any one of them out for the media wolves.
I don't think its "bad" out there. People in Philly love their sports, and I wish Houston was similar to it. I think that they think her Kid wearing their Hockey Sweater might be a bit insulting to them.
