Tracy McGrady sat out his second straight game to start the exhibition season. But coach Rick Adelman is hoping T-Mac will at least test his surgically repaired knee on the three-game road trip against Boston, Oklahoma City and Memphis.

“I’m hoping that’s going to happen,” Adelman said. “It’s important that he gets out and does his sustained minutes during a game or two to see where he’s at and see how he can measure himself.

“The schedule is over nine days we play every other day. So it’s going to be hard to get a lot of scrimmaging in at practice. ”

I think it will be good. I don't expect him to play tomorrow but maybe against Hornets. It doesn't need to be a lot of minutes. I do belive 15 would be enough for him in the first game. Just see how you feel (if you feel right at practices) and find the best bball shape

I just want to see him for 15 minutes or so...that's not going to compromise anything, and if it is, he's much worse off than they're saying.

The 1st month schedule is very tough. Tmac has to be ready when the regular season starts. He cannot be too relax right now. He needs to play some preseason games to know his new teammates and to get himself ready.

if t-mac plays get ready to see him go at 50%, not hustle back on d, walk up and down the court, and shoot tons of bricks.

theres a reason why we're such a bad fast break team. its because t-mac doesnt run and battier cant finish. notice that almost all of our fast breaks last season involved rafer and luther?

I really don't care much about those pre-season games other than who's going to be our bench players. I really don't wanna see either T-Mac or Yao trying hard to play now and mitigate their performance in the long run, i.e 82 regular season games + 3 rounds of playoff games. And loosing some games now might not sound that bad, since they are not in the record books and we will soon forget about. ;)

No offense jason, but you are the ultimate fan boy of all things Arizona so why the questioning? The slightest mention of Arizona basketball and you're on it like a fat woman within reach of a 20 piece bucket.

    NO.

I'm actually just a fan of UofA's BASKETBALL team.

But my real passion (other than the Rockets of course) would be my OSU Cowboys and all things related to it. Thats what my sig means-I bleed RED and ORANGE.

Can't Adelman see how well Tmac's knee holds up to hoisting jumpers, missing free throws and casually jogging up and down the court in practice?

I like this I think this is great news. I can't wait to see how Mcgrady looks out there on the court, and I really hope his knee holds up out there and don't give him any problems. I don't think he needs too many mins. I say about 15 for the first two games than if hes feeling better RA can play him about 20 for the third game.
