    Nah you heard it wrong.

McCain's economic plan: everyone divorce their wives and go marry a beer heiress. Doing so will immediately solve your health care and SS issues.

During Palin's convention speech, the writers actually replace the word nuclear with "new-clear". It shows up on the prompter and she had a brief pause when she saw it. :D

And this idiocy is why the right wing is losing what little respect it once had.

Economy going down the tubes, wars that don't have any sort of measurable "endpoint", rampant abuse of executive power, a diminished diplomatic image, and YOU"RE COMPLAINING ABOUT PROPER PRONUNCIATION?

    These people are r****ded. Seriously.

Remember how people used to mispronounce "Vietnam," and how stupid it sounds when people do it incorrectly now?

    Think about it...

"I, for one, feel that it's very important for elected officials to practice correct pronunciation."

Look what they have done to some fairly intelligent people! We are actually discussing a candidate's enunciation!

In the Houston area, the city of Humble is pronounced "umble" by 90% of people. I've lived here 22 1/2 years and still think it's crazy. I still say Humble even though people will correct me most of the time.

Hell, San Felipe is just as divisive. I myself say it like the Spanish dictates: "Sahn Pheleepeh." However, I've heard "San Phillipee," "San Phillip," and more.

Not really... we're more interested in odd pronunciations of obscure names and places. Gotta go with the flow! It's a great topic.
