I'm an Aggie and I'm still going for Texas. The fact that a team the Aggies beat can make it to the elite 8 gives me some warped sense of satisfaction. Plus, I like TJ Ford, and I just don't have the same dislike for TU basketball as I do for TU football.

    Texas 79
    Oregon 76

    yeah...hook 'em horns...or something

I'm just way too pessimistic to think my team could make it to the Elite 8 (but here's hoping).

Why don't you like Trinity University football? Did they beat the Mechanical & Agricultural team - TM&A?

If either team scores below 85 pts, I'll be shocked.

    Texas - 93
    Oregon - 92.

TJ alone can't run with the Ducks in this shootout. Bottom line is that Oregon is the best shooting team in the nation, UT is mediocre.

well then UT is gonna shock you.

the level of stupidity displayed by our players in that first half made me ashamed to say I learn at the same school they do.

    Sickening.

Hi, I'm freddie williams, I catch passes at the 3 pt line and then fire them out of bounds. I also let guys overplay me to one side and then spin exactly like they want me to so they can poke it away from behind and have easy layups. I also like jumping in the air and realizing I have no shot and double clutching and missing. the rest of the UT team seems to also enjoy this activity immensely.

Hi, i'm james thomas, I like to drive two times in a row at a guy 6 inches taller than me and miss horribly. Other than that, I'm pretty damn awesome.

Hi, I'm sydmill harris. I really love stepping out of bounds, losing control of the ball a lot and in my spare time I double dribble on breakaways that will get my team within 1.

Hi, I'm TJ Ford, I like thinking about shooting and jumping to shoot and then realize I will be blocked and then double pumping and airballing. I also like penetrating and trying to jump and reverse in the air and then getting packed.

Finally, I'm the whole UT team and I like running after the ball even though I have no shot at it and leaving guys wide open on breakaways.

Oh and as the first half was ending I was just thinking plz don't let them go on a run, just keep it at 6 or 7. But no, we give them an open 3, a bucket, and then a finishing 3. Don't bother scoring any points of your own guys.

maybe we can have our first halves from the last two games this half.

    $%$#%$#%$#%$#@uck!!!!!

    A. Why oh why couldn't Thomas just hit that free throw. Other than that, he was freaking amazing. Grabbing boards everywhere, diving on the floor for that one ball late, hitting the shot to get to tie the game.

    B. Why did UO just have to hit that last shot. It couldn't have bounced out or anything. And I couldn't tell, did he charge or not. It looked like minimal contact on the way up but it looked like jones hit erskin sorta good coming down. Couldn't really tell. Just saw it again. He hit erskin in the face pretty good coming down. Probably no call anyway.

    C. Why didn't we call the time out past halfcourt. I realize the play was designed to go all the way but why not simply design that same play for calling the TO. TJ received it at halfcourt at 2.0 seconds. Plenty of time to set up a play on halfcourt inbounds.

    D. Don't ever let Ivey shoot another 3.

Well, we did better than I expected and fought back from the early deficit and pounded the offensive glass really well. Close game in the sweet 16. Good season.

We played our asses off tonight. Taking a young team to the Sweet 16 and almost to the Elite 8 is no small accomplishment. We fought and battled with one of the best teams in the nation today, and came up just a bit short at the end. This game was a testament to Rick Barnes and the tremendous job that he has done with this young team.

The Horns proved tonight that they can hang with any team in the nation, and you better believe that they'll be freaking pumped next year. Thomas, Ivey, Mouton and Boddicker will all be juniors. TJ will be a sophomore, and we have Mickey D's AA Brad Buckman coming in next fall.

    ....Still, this one hurts. Alot.

UT needs two things for next year:

Someboby who actually can shoot. Further, damn, TJ I like your game but please work all summer on just 1 thing: knocking down the top of the key trey. It isn't that hard of a shot. If he learns this he will be the best college PG out there period.

A basketball IQ transplant. I couldn't believe how many times they walk the ball up and stood around until 10 seconds left on the clock to try to beat the defense on isolation. They were friggen behind.

After watching the game last night it is no surprise UT was 0-5 against Kansas and Oklahoma.

Final thoughts: The Jayhawks are going to MOP up the Ducks. Try an 85-70 final score of a game not as close as that score.

Did you know Kelvin Cato on his bracket refers to Texas as "TU" also? I just thought that was interesting.

And I thought it was dumb.

Man, what an awesome game last night. The crowd at BW3 was better than nearly every crowd that I've experienced at the Morgue. If TJ could learn how to shoot any jumper, he'd be one of the best, if not the best PG in the nation. Boddicker's not getting many props either, but he brought us back last night with his outstanding shooting. However, as always it seemed this year with UT, there were too many times when they played tight on the offensive end. But, this turned out to be a great tournament for the Horns, and as disappointed as I was leaving the bar last night, I feel good this morning. However, that could simply be because Mr. Overrated Defensive Player has played his last game in a burnt orange uniform.

If I went around referring to Texas A&M as M&A, I'd look like a dumbass.

Ex. "Hey, did you hear Tech shut out M&A 12-0?"

btw, its Texas A&M Aggies not Texas Aggies or the University of Texas A&M Aggies.

The A&M is what makes yall special.
