If you were watching the game to see him in the clothes then did you not hear the commenters talkinga bout giving the others players some time to play since Landry played a bit ytd. Players like Waffer and Harris.
its called pre season and doesnt mean anything, these guys should already be in shape so that shouldnt be an issue
landry is one of the most important rockets players, he doesn't have anything more to prove...we know what he brings to the table, might as well keep him healthy
It's a great sign he isn't suited up. It proves all the talk about him looking great in training camp (backed up by Tuesday's game) was true and the Rockets are very comfortable with where he is. Looks to me like he worked very hard over the summer, is in decent shape already and his game is already tuned up. My respect for Landry is off the charts right now. He is serious about being the best basketball player he can be and I'm glad he's back.
Landry is not playing to give players like V Waffer (I want to call him Vanilla Waffer so bad) and Mike Harris some playing time. Landry is proven.
i feel that same exact way...for a 2nd round pick to work that hard, i compare everyone of his games and he must have to work his ass off to develop that nice stroke on his jumper
I want to call him Wafer von Alston. And we're not playing Landry to keep him a secret. Kinda like when Tampa Bay kept Evan Longoria and BJ Upton in the minors longer than they should have, just to accrue years of arbitration rights and lose enough games to get better draft picks and bring them all up at the same time. We're trying to play Landry only when we have to so that we can control him for a longer period without having to pay him post-breakout.
Leave Rafer ALONE! Seroiusly...we won 2 Championships with Kenny "the Jet" as our PG. At the risk of offending Tinman - Rafer is a better passing PG (not shooter) but that's why we have T-Mac & Barry. This is quite possibly the best Rocket team 1-12 (15) ever assembled (if we can avoid the injury bug). Way to go Morey! See you in the Finals.
Rafer plays above average D, and distributes just about better than anyone on our team. Hopefully, Barry can play some solid PG/SG minutes this year.
