    You actually have to get off the net and go and meet them in person. Though a good 2/3 of my blind friends can use teh interwebs. :D

    I don't there would be much repercussion regardless. Blind people are very easy to hide from.

    I wouldn't be so sure. They make text readers that blind people have on their home computers now. I have a blind friend who uses facebook, myspace, etc. just like anyone else and no doubt they can read message boards too.

    (though I'm not sure if they're as likely to be basketball fans... but you never know)

    Dude, you just solved a mystery of mine. There is a blind guy who sits about 2-3 seats to the right of me in one of my classes. Sometimes I hear weird robotic talking sounds during class. They are kinda faint and tough to hear, but I always wondered what the hell it was since it happened every couple of classes.

    MYSTERY SOLVED.
