That Laker lineup is seriously lacking in quickness. Gasol is slow for a PF, Odom is slow for a PG/SF, and Fisher at this stage of his career is slow (and undersized) for an SG/PG. They better hope Bynum can clean up a lot of messes by those guys getting blown by.

Lakers threads are all over the place here. What's with the fascination of that team?

they're a half court team, no need for blazing speed. Odom, Kobe, Bynum and Gasol definitely quick enough for their positions.

Right. Wasnt implying they'd let him go. Just saying Luther Head in 05 draft, Farmar in '06 & Aaron Brooks in '07 were all picked in the same spot in their drafts. And out of that choice I'd take Farmar for "value guard" pick. But Rockets had the #7 pick that year and he wasnt dropping to the 2nd round like I hoped he was.

Its why I tried to get the Blazers some attention in a thread, divert some away from this darn team :p

that's why the LAkers are using the quicker/more athletic Arriza at the 3, with Odom being th 6th man.
he will be that with the 2nd unit.

i look for the LAkers to trade Odom's expiring contract, $12M, before the Feb trade dead-line.
