Kornheiser is an idiot. Apparently a punt return touchdown here and there, 90 swing pass catches, and a 2.5 ypc average is worth 12 sacks.
You know they are just waiting for a chance to slob their hero. Mario has shown that he was a justified pick though...and this comes from someone who was against the pick. Bush is more WR than RB....
I don't get why kornheiser is on the commentating team he is good as a general sports guy like on pti but he adds nothing to mnf at all.
Where did you get that from? He has 31 catches for 8.3 this year and 192 catches for 7.4 for his career. Lying's not cool. http://www.nfl.com/players/reggiebush/careerstats?id=BUS294963
Wow. I'm sorry i didn't know you were too idiotic to realize I was talking about yearly production. I'll include a pie chart next time to avoid confusion.
uh oh! another guy who can't come back with any evidence to support his claim so he commits a fatal argumentative fallacy by throwing out a weak ad hominem attack! Go back to watching ESPN to figure out who you need to like.
Those averages aren't great, especially when your main asset is being a "gamebreaker". He catches a lot of balls and I think they are using him right....he just isn't much of a running back. He is still producing and helping his team win. Tonight's game is a perfect example. The two punt returns really helped his team to get back into the game. However, his lack of running ability and fumble helped the team get down.
He is an electrifying playmaker when he has the ball and space in front of him... He's just not a good running back, in fact he's barely average.
If it wasn't for Bush this game wouldn't have even been close. Bush did everything he could to try and get his team the win. Vikings also have one of the top run-defenses.... I like how you blame it on the lack of Reggies running ability. How about Brees having to throw to scrubs.... or Gramatica choking on yet another very manageable Field goal attempt.
Wait are you saying 8.3 yards a catch is good? Here are the receiving leaders in terms of yardage up to Reggie Bush, notice the only one in single digit average yards per catch. And if it weren't for him laying the ball on the ground (which lead to points), or falling with no one around him on another punt return then they might have won. With all that being said, he had a productive night because he found the end zone twice. He still sucked running the ball, as usual. Bust struggles to run when he is facing teams without top notch run defenses. He just isn't that good of a runner. Hmm, so his lack of running ability didn't hurt his team in the end when they couldn't milk the clock or get the FG kicker closer? This is their second loss like that this season...where they had no RB to milk clock or continue a gamewinning drive by running...which leads to passing and giving the other team time to come win the game. His fumble didn't help get his team behind? I point out the good and the bad. Bush is productive and the Saints are using him correctly based on what he can do...running not being one of those things.
