So October 11th will be our 7 year anniversary. We aren't married yet, but I am hoping this is our last anniversary as "boyfriend/girlfriend." I wanna make it special but I don't have alot to spend right now. Any ideas on nice places. Looking for more of an experience than just a place with good food. Rman Tex suggested Chez Nous last year and I think it might be hard to top that this year. She was really impressed by that place. Any ideas!??
ibiza or catalan (trendy, but good) le colombe d'or (old french style with a nice interior) or... cook for her.
Agreed. 7 years??? DAMN BOII. you need to ask her to marry you now. Before she leaves your ass for someone who will commit. I advise you to buy her a real diamond ring. Cubic zirconia rings sometimes just don't cut it.
I took the wife to Fogo de Chao for our 1 year anniversary...it is definitely an experience! But you'll feel miserable afterward. I also took her to a symphony, which was something we had never done together.
Cause the food is just so damn good! But seriously, it really was unlike any other restaurant we had been too. I think it's an environment that welcomes conversation, unique in that there aren't typical waiters since the servers walk around with the meat on racks and serve it to you on demand, and the food is just so tasteful. So it wasn't like a typical night out at a restaurant. And I'd say if you love meat, then it's a place you have to go at least once in your life. But it ain't cheap!
7 years! Are you guys at least engaged? We went to northshore park in the Woodlands this sunday, you should have a picnic there by the water.
glad to see that things are going good for you, dude! just take her to a roof and have a picnic on a clear and cool night under a moon.
give her a card and nothing else. make it a meaningful card with a reference to a private joke or something from your past. if she's cool she'll accept it and be happy... if she's not cool...well you just saved yourself engagement ring money.
Chez Nous is awesome............if you loved that place, take her to Au Petit Paris on Colquitt. Make sure you have reservations.
