I don't think he will make it because he is too raw... in terms of when it comes to playing organized in a NBA's coaches offensive and defensive system the right way. He will have a hard time in Adelman's system eventhough he is a center and he looked good in the scrimmage how he looks in practice is different. Good player though. Plus I heard from some higher authority that work with the Houston Rockets organization that they would cut him pretty soon he is just with us as a filler right now for training camp.

One of the major reasons is this Marcus Campbell is a lifelong friend of T-Mac's.

They grew up together in Florida and went to the same high school. Campbell transferred to Mt Zion just to be with McGrady because he said he "looked up to Tracy". They worked out together in the summer of 04' when T-Mac was traded to us and I'm pretty sure they work out quite a bit during the summer, with Tracy basically taking him under his wing...although he is a C as opposed to a SG/SF.

I got the above info from a website I went to recently while looking up Marcus Campbell...cant be bothered finding the link and putting it here...but I'm pretty sure Campbell is here mainly because of Tracy.

Seems like he is a good rebounder. if moutombo calls it quits, he might be a nice backup. he had twenty three rebounds in a game. i dont care what league that is in, he is a solid rebounder.

He averaged 13 and 9 in the D-League, so he should be serviceable at least. Seems like he could catch the ball and finish around the rim. I won't mind taking a flyer on him since he fills a need.

He looks good today. But I doubt he will make the team after Rockets signed Dorsey. And another backup C spot is reserved for Deke. Rockets probably just keep him for preseason training purpose. Or a short term contract before Rockets resign Deke back in mid season. Unless he prove the team he can do better.

He can dunk and that is about it, although he traveled alot, but the refs didn't blow their whistle at the open scrimmage.
