I predict that the summer games will have some of a toll on the veteran players who played significant minutes. I'm thinking Kobe, Kidd, Gasol, Manu for sure. Let's hope that Scola and Yao are still young enough. And frankly Yao didn't play many minutes at all, nor many games. But Scola...

Tracy isn't dumb, he knows this is his best chance probably ever for a championship. He won't slack off yet.

I agree. Dwight was the healthiest guy on the magic and that little bruised rib didnt even keep him out of the olympic games.

Bynum's already shown he's taken a serious injury, and he didn't take care of it well. (or he had idiotic doctors and needed 3 opinions).

As of now, to say Bynum will surpass Dwight..whew, thats ballsy.

Imagine the pounding his lower body's going to take from all that added weight...the guy doesn't exactly have a great track record in terms of injuries.

Bynum has become a physical beast but his game still doesnt match up to the elite Centers in the game, like Howard and Yao

If he put that much time into his physique it is likely he put at least that much time into his game.

Look out other NBA big men.

Don't worry Mutombo by himself can stop Bynum.

It's funny to see how bias everyone is. :D

If by some freak occurrence the Rockets got traded Bynum for something like Scola, Brooks, Head and Battier; this entire place would have Bynum fever saying how "he's going to dominate Dwight and Oden for years to come".

lol, bynum already have better skills than dwight.

But the thing is, with that much more weight on his body, can he still jump and move like he use to?

Actually, he increased his vertical from last year by an inch. And I guess we'll find out how well he moves in about a week.

I want to hope no, but that doesnt look like 33 year old chunkying up weight. That kind of seemingly natural growth at age 20, generally they carry it around well... Even though Kobe was the dunk champion his rookie year he was jumping higher and more explosive the years after that.
