looks like Landry wont have to go to his backup plan of auditioning for the Rowdies to be at Rockets games this year.
Apparently, this is Morey's revenge for Carl giving them such a hard time during the signing period. Kudos Darryl.
Oh man, T-mac the face of the team the captain and he's not 100%. Go figure. I bet If you ask every player in sports if they have pains they will probably say yes in private. Its the leaders that play through when they can and dont cry about it. I was hoping he'd say, yea there's a little pain but im going to play through it. Kobe smashed his finger and he doesnt cry. Shane, not crying. Yao, not crying. Our leader is a baby and man he needs some fire! Thats the difference. Keep Artest, Trade T-mac if he doesnt take us this year. He has the pieces and he still has excuses. Im ticked, but does anyone share my pain. Oh man, thanks brothers! Go Rockets..Prove me wrong she-mac! JZ
How is T-Mac crying? I guess you want him to just sugarcoat his answers and say hes 100%? Give me a break. T-Mac could win MVP and there would be some people saying he played too selfish to get that award.

Tmac isn't sporting any new muscle....he's had shoulder and knee surgery so he hasn't been working out all offseason, even now he's still recuperating and therefore can't lift much or run a lot either. He's gained fat, not muscle. I'm not trying to hate on him or say he's lazy or out of shape, but that's just the reality of multiple injuries. During the news interviews even his face looks fuller. Steve has slimmed down a lot, but im surprised he alos lost pretty much all muscle, he's literally bony now. In his case, its puzzling because he's been able to run and lift for a while now. I can understand him dropping pounds to ease the impact on his joints, but losing muscle will hurt more than help.
One of those videos really stood out to me: the last one. The one where they're asking who Ron likes and he responds by saying, "I don't like anybody. I like the Rockets" which he says with a playful smile. But the question is immediately followed up with another question of, "Who do you consider your chief competition?" The smile drops from Ron's face as he says, "I guess, everybody - even the Memphis Grizzlies." You can hear the press laughing at that statement, too..... ... but Ron wasn't joking anymore. He wasn't laughing. He wasn't smiling. He followed up that statement with, "We lost to a lot of teams that we were better than last year, so... everybody's competition." He then returned to his smile and repeated, "That's why I don't like anybody." Ya see... we can joke and laugh about the Memphis Grizzlies, but the truth is, we're capable of losing to anybody. And although you and I can laugh about the Memphis Grizzlies, the Rockets have to actually play the games and secure the victory. Memphis doesn't WANT to lose. Memphis wants to beat the Rockets. Ron Artest takes that very seriously. That's a good thing.
Which will mean a lot when he misses his annual 30 games this season due to injury. I don't care what T-Mac says...the guy always plays through his injuries, and yesterday he said none of his injuries would cause him to miss any games (unless he seriously aggrivates them). People absolutely KILLED him on here when the knee fiasco was going on and he sat out the 2nd half of the Magic game. They thought he was quitting on his team and over-exaggerating his injuries, and a faulty doctor's report that said nothing was wrong with his knee supplemented this. 2 games later he reaggrivates his knee against the Pistons and misses nearly a month, in which they find out that he had problems in his knee that their previous tests weren't equipped with to reveal. My point? Let him say what he says...he usually speaks the truth. It may appear as though he is setting excuses up for future failures or whatever, but all he is doing is speaking the truth. The injuries he has he will play through, and he will once again put up his 20/5/5 and elevate his play during the playoffs. Once we win a series, or once he is forced to lead a Yao-less Rockets, everyone will once again be on his di*k.
i noticed that stuff too. lets hope ron whips people into shape. get serious, play hard, and don't underestimate anybody. barry is also going to really help bring the spurs championship mentality to the locker room. he was already talking about concentrating on winning one game at a time, bla bla bla, but sometimes the players need a reminder not to start thinking about the celtics tomorrow when we have the nets tonight.
I am in California hobnobbing with the goober smoochers, and I have to say that this is what I was looking forward to the most.... a Clutch update. Needless to say...thanks Clutch. DD
Well in the 06-07 season, Tmac missed 7 games early in the season, while Yao was having a near MVP type season for the Rockets. Then Yao broke his knee cap, and then Tmac returned after that, and I don't remember him missing a game after that. Yao's injury happened in December if I'm correct and I don't think Tmac missed a game unless if it was the last game of the season in Utah, to rest up before the playoffs and avoid injury. Thats probably a good 50- 60 games in a row that he played. For his injury history thats not terrible. We could ask the same about Hakeem from 95 onwards, but he always performed in the playoffs...thats the main thing that matters with superstars. Getting the team to the playoffs with a decent to good seed and performing strong in the playoffs, even if it means missing a few games to do so. Tmac has been able to do that for 3 of the 4 years he has been with the Rockets.
