I'm confused. It's a separate game disc? Or it's a downloadable track pack? I love me some AC/DC, but my biggest complaint about that band has always been how much each song sounds like another, so I'm not sure I'd want to spend the money to buy ALL of those. Maybe about half. I hate that the article didn't give a price for this purchase. Edit: I just noticed these are all live recordings as well. Pass.
I really liked the ACDC: Live album, so thats cool with me. I believe its going to be a seperate game, because it says it will be sold exclusively at Wal Mart & Sams Club.
Never been too big of a AC/DC fan. I'm still waiting on some decent rap tracks on Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Gimmie some Nas, Jay-Z, DMX, Fugees, hell even a 2Pac comp. disc would sell like f'n hotcakes. I think I just found my first billion dollar idea.
Gonna have to agree. Because I know when I think of Rap, I want to bust out some guitars & a drumset...
Hey, why not? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wqYyR8gZRD4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wqYyR8gZRD4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tikZ0A5DXhs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tikZ0A5DXhs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Oh apparently some of you are close minded. Run DMC and Beastie Boys have tracks on them. I love rock just as much as the next guy, but a little mix of genre would be awesome. I'm sure it would sell better than a bunch of has beens.
Google "Get On Da Mic" Its been done, as far as it being "billion dollar" idea, I saw new copies of it at Half Price Books, so much for that If the game had master tracks it "may" have done better, but I think these rappers would probably have some ridicolous royalties for each track, then again that's my opinon
Yeah the royalties are probably pretty pricey especially considering how much money the game draws. I would personally enjoy a little more modern tracks. Half of the songs remind me of 1985 at the skating rink. Eye of the tiger???WTF? I think all I think about the whole time while playing it is Ben, Ben, Ben, Ben off the dumb commercial a few years back.
Beastie Boys are in Rock Band 1 and 2 and Run DMC is in Guitar Hero Aerosmith. So Whatcha Want might be the most boring song in a rhythm game ever.
Guitar Hero is great as-is. I love the fact that my 6-year old nephew knows who Cheap Trick, Sonic Youth and Weezer are.
BINGO The Oasis pack IS THE reason I bought a 360 and RB1, and even proud to say I was estatic they have Jimmy Eat World on RB2 and the Dashboard Confessional DLC that came out 2 weeks ago. They should release some songs from the "Rock Ballads" and "Buzz" compilations
This, to me, is one of the coolest things about these games. My 11 year old now owns albums from Black Sabbath, Rush, Beastie Boys and Beck. He also owns an album by The Killers, but you take the good with the bad. I never encouraged him in any of this, really, he just decided he wanted more music by these bands because of the songs he heard and played on Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Stuff he likely never would have heard otherwise. I think that's awesome.
