    DHL sucks.

I ordered a 130 dollar digital picture frame, and a 4 GB SD card last week. DHL decides they have to have a signature, but to deliver this thing during the day, while I'm at work.

So, today, I'm sitting here waiting to sign for it, on what will apparently be the third and final attempt. The guy shows up (about 10 minutes ago), has the package sitting on my porch, doesn't say anything other than "sign this." When I do, he walks away and just says, "OK," and leaves the package sitting there.

So, I get inside, and open the package...The glass of the frame is SHATTERED!

So, now I wait for my return to arrive, then ship the broken one back, and hopefully everything will go right with credit transfers, all because of some idiot from DHL's incompetence.

UPS is no better. I rescheduled a "signature required" delivery for a day when my wife would be there all day and they never showed up.

Don't know where that package is now...

FedEx for important docs or shipments. UPS Ground for less important stuff. Whatever you do dont ship anything important via USPS..Ive been screwed too many times.

IIRC, it's the shipper's decision if a package requires a signature. The delivery companies couldn't care less. They'd rather not have to mess around with the signatures. It causes a lot of redeliveries which cost money.

    QFT.

The only time I use USPS is for letters and other envelope mailings and when I sell on Half.com and buyers chose media mail method.

    Did you ever get it?

This frame is a present, and the company I bought from (eCost) says it could take 10 to 14 days to ship a new one...and it'd come through DHL again. I wonder how much it would cost to have the glass replaced?

It looks like the company that I ordered from already sent the replacement item. It's supposed to be here tomorrow. At least they have great service.

Let's see if DHL screws this one up, too.
