I dont care what Michael Jacksons personal life...but I love his music and thats the only thing that matters to me and R.Kelly could sing
A couple of my favorites right now... Ne-yo, John Legend, Musiq Soulchild, Robin Thicke I used to not like Chris Brown, but I think he's really stepped up his game lately. I consider Justin Timberlake's main genre is pop, but with his collaborations with Timbaland lately... there's a more hip hop feel to his music.
I agree with this list. NeYo is hot right now, but John is my favorite. Robin Thicke is refreshingly better than I expected, while Musiq needs to step it up a little. Chris Brown and Timberlake songs lean more pop than R&B, so I don't really count them.
Neither. They may be scumbags, but they're artists. You don't have to approve of the artist to enjoy the art.

If anything, i would say Chris Brown is more Pop than Timberlake. Really, most of the stuff i've heard from JT in the past few years has been R&B, that happens to be really popular with kids that listen to pop music. Chris Brown has slipped into that poppy mold of making a Techno/House song here, a rap song there, a pop song here and hoping everyone likes something. I don't know, i feel like atleast JT can sing. Chris Brown goes in the same boat with Ashanti, Ciara, Ashley Simpson and Brittney Spears. The 'i have no actual singing talent' boat.
2 oldie but goodies that I didn't see mentioned - Keith Sweat - Brian McKnight And my all time favorite another old school duo K-Ci and Jojo <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LFpFY3V9Id8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LFpFY3V9Id8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Gotta show some love for the classic DeAngelo. Also, older versions of Tyrese. As for modern stuff out, I like: Tank The Dream (not Diddy's group) India Arie Anthony Hamilton

As I listen to Usher's first album, I have to add his name to the list of the Worse Declining Artist that I've seen in a while. Usher's first album was hip, cool, had some energy to it. Since then? Jesus. He's become a walking vagina with "moving mountains", "trading places", "what's your name" and all of his other incredibly lame lame songs.
This might help. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1w9ZlGX82rI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1w9ZlGX82rI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
