mccain is way too soft on afghanistan. obama challenged him on that all night, yet he didnt even say what his plan would be.
watching NBC what does this say about palin? nbc invited both biden and palin to give post debate responses. biden took the opportunity, palin declined and sent giuliani in her place.
Yeah, you don't want a guy who knows what he's talking about and actually believes his message. Damn elitists. I want a Joe Schmo who doesn't know **** and doesn't have any confidence.
Obama might have set the bar too high for himself for the future debates. I honestly thought McCain was better on the economy, but in national security Obama won. But then I remembered McCain had won beforehand.... it is true, I saw the ad.
nope, i don't think Obama knows what he is talking about in some issues at all. especially the stuff he said about economy, terrorism, etc.
I give Obama a B-. He came across well despite McCain taking countless shots. I give McCain a D. Each and every time he said "I've worked on so and so for 25 years", "I've known so and so for over 30 years" I rolled my eyes. Each and every time he said "Sen. Obama doesn't get", it sounded contrived and came across as a corny debate strategy instead of as sincere. His constant personal jabs at Obama turned me off. If tonight was McCain's best debate swing at Obama, he missed. My summary of tonight was Obama helped himself very slightly and McCain hurt himself.
All you want to know. Most importantly by insubordination in the negotiations of the cease-fire that ended the Yom Kippur war that benefited Israel much more than Nixon intended, he created the issues for Palestinian-Israeli conflict that we still have.
again, as a voter, mccain looked too contentious and on teh offensive (we saw that with bush with his foreign policies). obama looked presidential and is willing to agree with his opponents.
Good point. People are making a big deal out of nothing. Johnny didn't even *look* at Obama when speak directly to him. Fear? Passive Aggression? Dunno. Cod
i have a hard time taking comments like this seriously. if you're going to vote republican regardless, fine... but you're painting obama as being almost ignorant on these subjects and i'd have to think that that's nothing more than your own personal political bias showing.
Both candidates had different objectives. McCain had to stop the bleeding and hold on to his base. Obama had to appeal to independents. We all know the core McCain (TJ) and Obama (FB) supporters arent going to switch, so its up to independents. In this respect, I'd give Obama the edge on the debate despite McCain's successful blustering.
Probably the most legendary pwn3rship of the night is when McCain mocked Obama about sitting down with Ahmadinejad. Ahmadinejad: "We're going to wipe Israel off the map" Obama: "No you're not" lol
oh ya, of course it's my bias. i was willing to listen to Obama and see what he has to say. basically nothing he said would change my view on his policies.
