Honest question: why do you believe this? The people he has associated with in life do not make me feel comfortable at all. Jeremiah Wright, Ayears, Tony Rezko.....

Very good post. We need two strong parties in this country and we've not had even one over the last 8 years. Obama seems to be slowly pulling the Dems along, but the Repubs have much work to do... they're not even at the awareness stage yet... and even if they lose, it will get worse because then the blame will be heaped on McCain and they'll make another run from wackoville. After they get beat down a second time, then I think you'll start to see same sane people take control of the party. What's clear to me is that we as a country need to say the current Republican way of governing is not working and will not be allowed in power ever again.

Do you know anything about this egghead? He gets ripped to pieces on CNBC on a regular basis - he does not adhere to the typical U of C style economic theories that made them famous. This guy is purely a political hack sell-out who wants a cabinet position

That giddyup and many other hardcore conservatives are considering a vote for moderate Obama is a striking message to the country.

I'm not taking your words for it. Be specific, post some articles or videos, anything. Who on CNBC ripped him? There aren't that many Buffetts over there. With respect to U of C, I saw you or one of your brothers having some severely distrust issue with the place. How your groupie can be for and against an institution simultaneously is beyond my mortal comprehension.

If there is any good economists on the McCain team, I would like to know their credential and policy.

The moderate in this race is McCain. Obama (former citizen of Kenya) is the most liberal politician in the Senate, as proven by voting records. Obama has no record of forming bi-partisan consensus, and he's got a tissue paper thin resume. Despite our financial situation, he wants to increase capital gains and dividend taxes from their current level, further causing the stock market to go down. That alone is enough to make me vomit.

OK how about this economist, Dr. Larry Hunter? Remember the Contract with America? Adviser to Ronald Reagan?

To answer the op's question - the answer is no.

giddyup is unworthy of a seat on the O-train.

The O-train is quite capable of doing surprise derail stunt. It would pick up a lone passenger from a sidewalk, then jump right back on track. It is magical. I didn't even know how I got on board. All I know is, a month ago I woke up and couldn't figure out how to get off since then.

I look out the windows and I see people fleeing from a M-train wreck. Oh yes, sort of see that coming miles away ever since their newly hired vice operator took the locomotion. Her resume supposedly says she's great with a steering wheel.
