Head is useless. He has 0 pass skill.
This is why we rely on Rafer so much.

I would like to see what aelliott or NIKEStrad says - would it be enough if we traded Head for a 2nd rounder? I would want to keep Francis (for nostalgic reasons and "potential") and Hayes (great defender) and Harris (hustles so much).

If Head alone is not enough, would Head and Harris be sufficient?

    Thanks

Chuck hayes is a basement bargin value for the price he has and what he he brings.just watch the little things chuck does on the basketball floor. the way he anticipates on defense. the way he shuts down the baseline. the way he creates charges or how he gets those loose balls. those things are invalueable.

The problem is that no one will want Steve , Head at least has some value.

Steve is among ones of the least possiblitity of being traded. That's what Moray has been thinking in the whole summer.I do think Alexandra should sacrifice something for the 'Red year'.

Steve has a 2.4 million exiere. that would be somewhat appealing to a team like denver. they can give us a chunk of there TE.

Why would Denver trade a TE for a player? Even an expiring contract player will cost them more money and send them further over the LT.

Plus, Steve is currently untradeable by himself - even for a 2nd round pick. Head and Hayes are likely candidates for a new home. Unfortunately they have more value to us than a 2nd round pick but to others that is all you can ask for.

There are plenty of teams that would like to have Luther Head, so I think you can kiss him goodbye.

The only reason I would want Head on the Rockets is b/c if he is, then he will be on the roster for NBA 2k9 and I can keep lighting my opponents up with his quick release 3. Luther is a beast in 2k8...

on a side note: I played a long game of 2k8 last night... Rockets vs. Celtics. Guess who the player of the game was?? Head?? Hell no.... Freaking Luis Scola!!! Dude dropped 25 points with 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, and a steal. Completely dominated KG... I was laughing my ass off when I'd just murder KG with a couple quick moves followed by a lighting fast drop step and then a little floater over KG's freak arms... good times.

hooroo, as you now know, the Rockets cannot trade Landry this season without his approval. So I doubt we'll see any trades involving Carl until at least the 2009-2010 season.

Anything can happen. Landry could suddenly find himself stuck on the bench.

No he meant contractually... we can't trade Landry without his approval. Somewhere in the mass of Landry threads there is a quote from Feigan saying that he can't be traded this season without approval and that he can't be traded to the Bobcats next year.

D.M. is full of all kinds of tricks, but I just don't see SF3 going anywhere.

I agree get rid of all the mediocre players that are not good enough to play on a playoff roster. Hayes, Head, Francis, Harris, hell I wouldn't even sign Deke with his ZERO offensive skills on a short team like the ROX. We need a scoring backup Center that can take advantage of TMac's passing ability.

We have to believe that we are an elite team and these players are all one dimensional, heck they can't even score a layup or hit an open jumper in the playoffs when all our good players are guarded.

When you find one that we can afford and isn't already on a team, let Daryl know.

    Because.....????

One wouldn't be enough because we'd still be over the cap if we sign Dorsey and Deke. I think we should move Francis and Harris because I think we still need Head for when Barry retires. Unless Francis can still play that is.
