He said his act got delayed by Bush's speech, so during that time the wind picked up and they told him it wasn't safe to jump anymore. He said he had to jump. He said he was attached to some balloons. He was only supposed to drop 5 feet and then disappear into the sky with the balloons, but the wind gusted and pushed him all the way down and then he flew away. Also he claimed the lighting was bad. I didn't even see any balloons.
The real magic trick is that by turning a quarter into a penny it also magically makes the woman's panties damp.
Thanks. That is pretty damn lame. As if you can predict the wind gusts down to a 10 or 15 minute time period...and wouldn't the lighting (at night) be the same as it always has been?
yeah he stood upright for about 10-15 mins per hour otherwise he would have had massive brain trauma. his magic tricks on the street are awesome these stunts though do nothing for me as chris rock says: Are we falling for a trickless magician?
I kinda feel the same way. The staying underwater and all that stuff is cool I guess, but give me some awesome, old-fashioned magic. A lot of stuff that Criss Angel does is cool because he actually does new illusions. If Blaine did 2-3 of Angel's big illusions with small street magic interspersed throughout, it would be a special that would have people talking around the water cooler all week long.

You couldn't see what he was attached to period. I'm guessing the balloons were made black to blend in with the nights sky. It wouldn't have been great, but it would have been much better if it had gone off as planned.
I DVR'd the broadcast and haven't watched it yet, but watching that YouTube clip...man, was that lame. He must have been pissed at how it turned out.
From the TV broadcast, it seemed to me like he was smiling. He seemed to take it well. You can't control nature so why get pissed about it.
Im not a big fan of all his hyped up shows...I really like his street magic though, some of the stuff he does is sick. And yes, Im also interested in who he's banging these days.

I was trying to figure that out too. Looked real to me in a way that simply can't be fake (thanks to the high speed camera). I think he might have said it was an illusion just to discourage idiots from trying to do it at home.
