Understood. I never noticed him before but I'll try to remember. All good cereals have a few flakes and nuts. LOL!

and later on they became teammates... :)

I always like SAR game, he wasn't fancy, he was an inside/out guy, but later on his career, he became a jump shooter like Al Harrington is going through right now, if I remember correctly, he hit a game winning 3 same day as Tmac's 13/37 second game.

that guy was a great player in a bad team. im pretty sure he averaged around and over 20 ppg for 8 straight seasons, including 18 in his rookie season and he averaged 9 rebounds a game during his prime. he was more than just a solid player for a very long time almost a decade  . sure they were bad teams but it looks like the injury never let him get back to form

actually he was going down as setting the record for not making the playoffs ever for a decent player until the Kings got Ron Artest
    and lifted
    the SAR curse.

He's my favorite player then too. I wish he could have accomplished more.

Feel bad that he never did truly break through to become an perennial All-Star or elite forward. Always so close, like a slightly better Juwan Howard.

Too bad he never got success in the postseason either.

Agree with you for the most part. Shareef was a good guy on and off the court. I used to always pick him up on my fantasy team. The NBA needs more players like Shareef.

Yeah, I agree. Good guy, very good player and very underrated for many years. But I had pretty much forgotten about him to be honest.

    Strange, he's a decent player.

But I guess he's a millionare with no fame, that's good for him, he can now enjoy his life in a different way.

They got into a fight in a game when they played on seperate teams, and they got in a fight while on the same team.

Is SAR the most irrelevant "very good" player in NBA history?

I'm really not sure about the whole "he was just a good player on a bad team theory" with SAR. The only time he was really healthy was when he happened to be playing on the bad teams. Injuries limited what he could do, a lot like Antonio McDyess

Anyways, he had a solid career and seems to be a really good person, so I wish him the best

Wasn't this guy a playoff virgin?
